盤面が狭いため、1プレイが短時間で決着します。通勤通学や暇つぶしにぴったりです。
・将棋経験者の方
「二歩（同じ列に歩を2枚以上配置すること）」が反則にならないという独特のルールが存在します。本将棋のセオリーが通じない場面もあり、経験者同士の対戦でも新鮮で奥深い駆け引きが味わえます。
◆ 三列将棋の基本ルール ◆
・盤面と駒: 横3×縦9マスの盤面を使用し、王・金・銀・歩の4種類のみで戦います。
・初期配置: 1段目に金・王・銀、2段目に歩が3枚、そしてあらかじめ持ち駒として「歩」を1枚持った状態からスタートします。
・成りのルール: 相手の陣地（上3段）に入る、または陣地内で動くと駒が成ります。銀は「成銀（全）」に、歩は「と金（と）」にパワーアップ！
・勝利条件: 相手の「王将」を詰ませば（逃げ場のない状態にすれば）勝利です。
シンプルだけど、一手一手が勝敗を分ける緊張感。
