What’s New in Athos 1.1.1 Built for iOS and iPadOS 27. Requires iOS/iPadOS 27 or later. OS 27 AND APPLE INTELLIGENCE • Native Liquid Glass now carries across iPhone navigation, Library controls, the scanner, and Statistics. • System Search can find books in Athos and open a selected title directly, using indexed titles, authors, publishers, series, and publication details. Search Athos by book, author, publisher, series, tag, or category. Siri Shortcuts include Open Book, Continue Reading, Add Book, Open Scanner, Recent Activity, Mark as Finished, What Am I Reading?, Log 10 Minutes, Log 1 Page, and Log Session. • On supported devices with Apple Intelligence enabled, ask Athos a question about recent books and their reading status. Answers use details from your Athos library. • Updated Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets put reading progress at a glance. Quick Log now offers a one-page-and-five-minute entry alongside 10-minute logging. SCANNING, SEARCH, AND CATEGORIES • The iPhone scanner places the live camera edge to edge, with quick mode, flash, and manual ISBN controls. Its result dock adapts to single or batch scans, showing book details and reading status alongside review, retry, add, and scan-again actions. • Library search handles punctuation and series volumes more consistently, and tag entry suggests existing tags as you type. • ISBN lookup tries alternate ISBN, title, subtitle, and author forms. Uncertain matches remain reviewable; your manual edits and unfinished lookups are kept for retry. Pending Lookups provides a searchable queue to review or retry saved ISBN work. • For supported fields on books with ISBNs, Metadata Workbench can look up missing values across selected books. Suggestions show their source and stay as drafts until reviewed; fill empty rows or apply accepted edits together. • Category Intelligence now opens with a searchable directory of canonical categories, imported aliases, and provider rules. Review suggested matches for imported names, create or reuse categories, and merge duplicates with undo. Category details show their books and subcategories. • iPhone Library controls keep search and actions close at hand. More has full-row navigation targets, puts Categories within reach, and returns to the Library without unexpectedly focusing search. • On iPad, the Library’s right-hand date column stays visible more reliably with the sidebar open, newly enabled sections scroll into view, and category matching reflows to the available width. READING AND LIBRARY CARE • The iPhone Statistics overview gives ownership, collection breakdowns, and items needing attention a clearer hierarchy. iPad keeps its adaptive multi-column dashboard. • First-screen book covers begin loading as the Library appears instead of waiting for a scroll. Cache refresh validates artwork and respects newer synced covers without reducing cover size. • Sync status shows what reached iCloud, what is pending, and when Athos last checked. If a field conflicts, compare both values and choose which to keep. • Backup archives are checked before restore replaces library data. Large backups are processed without loading the whole archive at once, and a recovery copy is retained if a scheduled restore fails. • Imports identify previously imported source records to prevent repeats, and malformed CSV rows report errors rather than silently losing fields. • The Help Center adds step-by-step guides for adding books, metadata, imports and duplicates, category organization, backups, sync, and accessibility.
