Demioku is a Sudoku app for people who actually want to think. The numbers are set in Fraunces, a serif you'd expect in a printed puzzle book. The light theme is warm cream paper. The dark theme is deep ink. There is one accent colour, a quiet indigo, and it only shows up when you need it. No spin wheels. No prize chests. No interstitials between two grids.
OPEN IT WITH YOUR COFFEE
Pick a mode, pick a level, start. There is no tutorial wall, no onboarding carousel, no "rate us" popup at puzzle three. The grid takes the screen, your numbers go in big and legible, and the rest of the interface stays out of the way. Generous touch targets — built for real fingers, not stylus fantasies.
THREE VARIANTS, ALL FIRST-CLASS
Classic Sudoku. The one you know. Nine by nine, one to nine, no repeats. Done well.
Killer Sudoku. Dashed cages instead of starting clues. You solve by reading the cage sums — the maths is the puzzle. The cage borders and totals have been retypeset to actually be readable on a phone.
Sudoku-X. The diagonals count too. The board's centre stops being a quiet zone and becomes the hard part. Small rule change, very different game.
FIVE LEVELS
Easy and Medium are free, on all three variants, forever. Hard, Expert and Extreme are part of Premium. Difficulty isn't a vague slider — each tier is tuned by the starting-clue count and the techniques the grid actually requires. Extreme will ask you to chain.

Smart notes, manual or auto-pencilled. Live conflict hints you can switch off the moment they start feeling like training wheels. A six-colour highlighter for the techniques that need colour to be visible: X-Wings, locked pairs, chains.
