Two playstyles, double the fun (and double the reasons to restart).
Mission Mode: Sneak in, complete the objective, and then—frankly, most of the time, after "accidentally" triggering the alarm, blast your way out and "extract". Being stealthy is a skill, but killing all witnesses is also a perfect form of stealth, isn't it?
Wave Survival: Enemies come in waves like takeout deliveries, except they're delivering a "beating combo". Clear them all to catch a breath. Don't ask how many enemies are left; the answer is "until your hands go numb from killing".
Loot drops from kills—makes perfect sense. Why do zombies drop gold coins? Why do soldiers have brand new shotguns in their pockets? These questions don't matter. What matters is that killing enemies has a chance to drop gold and weapons. We call them "comrades' bequests". Spend that windfall at the shop—it's more addictive than payday.
Your arsenal is way more varied than a ninja tool pouch. From pistols to automatic rifles, from one-shot-kill sniper rifles to "equalizer" explosives, your weapon choices are extremely free. Want to be a quiet assassin today? No problem. Want to carry a rocket launcher tomorrow and give the zombies a little "fireworks show"? Totally fine. Your ninja path is determined by the bullets in your chamber.
Enemies also have a "crossover"? You'll face not only traditional slow zombies but also soldiers who shoot and take cover. Imagine: you're elegantly dodging bullets when suddenly a drooling zombie gives you a "bear hug" from behind. This mixed double-play of "robot apocalypse" and "zombie apocalypse" will definitely keep your combat experience far from boring.
