Labelly now scans pet food. • Scan any dog or cat food and get an honest score, graded against FEDIAF adult nutrition guidelines. If a label is too thin to judge, we say so instead of guessing. • My Pets: add your dog or cat, and we'll warn you when something in your own shopping is dangerous for them (chocolate, grapes, onion, xylitol). • Additives explained for pets, sourced from EU feed law and EFSA opinions, not repurposed human research. • Search now has a pet food filter, and the additive index does too. • Ingredients only: score a label from a photo, even with no barcode. • A daily tip for your dog or cat on the Home screen. Also in this update: scans of common supermarket products are much faster, five free AI label scans a day for pet food, and the whole app, pet features included, is now fully translated into Romanian.

Products with no ingredients list were showing a score in your history but nothing on the product page. They match now. The app sometimes said you were offline when you weren't, usually mid shop. It now tries the scan first and only gives up if it genuinely can't reach anything. The confetti plays from the start instead of you catching it halfway down. Got a code from a creator? There's a Redeem button on the upgrade screen now.

Labelly now speaks Romanian. The whole app is translated, not just the buttons: scores and verdicts, personal health warnings, the E-number index, and every additive explanation. If your iPhone is set to Romanian, Labelly switches automatically. You can also set it per app in Settings, so your phone can stay in English. This release also improves label reading for Romanian products: • Allergen detection now reads Romanian ingredient lists. Previously, a product whose ingredients were only in Romanian could be missed. • Additives written by name rather than E-number ("sorbat de potasiu") are now recognised. • "May contain" traces are now labelled as traces rather than as ingredients. • Prices, decimals and thousands separators follow your region. Plus a faster, more reliable product lookup: a scan that fails now retries by itself instead of showing an error straight away.

Better swaps: your recent low scoring scans now get verified healthier alternatives on the Home screen. Tap either product to compare. Sharper scores: products are now scored on exact nutrition points, not just letter grades, so similar products no longer share the same number. The camera opens instantly and switches to macro focus for close up barcodes. New on Home: your weekly score view is back, plus a daily additive spotlight and more curated picks. Smoother scrolling, faster transitions, a proper launch screen and many small fixes.
