Bring-your-own-backend weather app for AmbientWeather, Davis, AcuRite and 180+ stations. Now on Mac, with light & dark themes and settings backup. No ads, no tracking. Zasder Weather is a fast, private iOS app for personal weather stations. Bring your own backend by connecting the app to your server. Your station data remains yours from end to end. No ads, tracking, or subscriptions. SUPPORTED WEATHER SOURCES • Ambient Weather: Your backend polls the Ambient Weather REST API and stores historical data in SQLite. • Davis WeatherLink: Use cloud polling or run a small LAN poller next to a WeatherLink Live for updates approximately every two seconds. • Direct RF capture: Use an affordable LilyGO ESP32 board to receive AcuRite Atlas sensors on 433 MHz or Fine Offset, Ecowitt, and Ambient sensors on 915 MHz. Optional discovery mode supports La Crosse, Oregon Scientific, AcuRite 5-in-1 and tower sensors, Auriol, TFA, and approximately 180 other station types. No vendor cloud is required. FEATURES • Multi-station dashboard: View every station on one screen, including current conditions, feels-like temperature, a 24-hour temperature graph, a day and night sun dial, humidity, pressure, wind, rain, dew point, and UV. • Historical data and insights: Browse past observations, compare stations, review records, and explore statistics calculated from your own weather data. • Detailed charts: Explore temperature, feels-like temperature, humidity, wind, pressure, dew point, solar radiation, and rainfall across periods ranging from one hour to seven days. Tap and drag to inspect individual readings. A 16-sector wind rose is also included. • Custom alerts: Create thresholds for any field and apply them to one station or every station. Alerts are evaluated by your backend, so email and push notifications can arrive even when the app is closed. • Apple Watch app: Check current temperature, daily highs and lows, a 24-hour chart, feels-like temperature, humidity, and UV from your wrist. It also works over LTE without your iPhone nearby. • Watch face complications: Display temperature, feels-like temperature, dew point, humidity, wind, UV index, or today’s rainfall in corner, circular, rectangular, and inline complication slots. • Home Screen widgets: View current station conditions, temperature, feels-like temperature, wind, gusts, rainfall, humidity, and pressure. • Flexible units: Choose Fahrenheit or Celsius, mph, km/h, knots, m/s, or Beaufort, inches or millimeters, and inHg or hPa. • Weather forecast: View a free seven-day forecast from Open-Meteo with no API key required. Severe Weather Alerts, iPad Support, and Automatic iCloud Backup • National Weather Service alerts: Active warnings, watches, and advisories for your station’s area now appear in a dashboard banner. Enable alerts in Settings. • iPad support: Zasder Weather now runs full screen on iPad. • Automatic iCloud backup: Enable it once to keep your settings—including your server connection—backed up to iCloud Drive. Your 10 most recent changes are retained, and setting up a new device takes just one tap. • Configurable widgets: Choose from nine readings for the six slots on your Home Screen widget. The small widget now includes a pressure-trend arrow. • Apple Watch: A new wind complication displays sustained wind and gusts together in a single ring. • Weather Underground forwarding: Send live readings directly from your server to Weather Underground to keep your station online. • Sensor drift insights: Compare readings across your stations to identify sensors that may be reporting too high or too low. • Interactive Insights charts: Tap a day in the year-at-a-glance calendar, cumulative rainfall curve, or monthly anomaly chart to see its exact date and value. • Low-temperature calendar mode: Switch the year-at-a-glance calendar to Low mode to spot frost nights and cold snaps as easily as heat waves. • More Explore data: Explore now includes dew point, UV, and solar readings. Tap the all-stations overlay to see each station’s high, low, and rainfall for the selected day. Fixes and Improvements • The Settings screen no longer jumps while you type, and the keyboard now includes a Done button. • Apple Watch complications now recover automatically after displaying stale data. • Wind gusts now correctly use your selected wind unit.
