Driving Route 66 is a journey of small moments. A neon sign. A faded motel. A diner that's been there since 1947. Route 66 Logbook helps you find those moments, log them as you go, and keep a record of your trip that will mean something years later.
I'm Carole. I drove Illinois in 2017 and the full route in 2026 for the centennial. Printed guides and other apps kept sending me to places that had closed, changed hands or vanished. So I built the Route 66 guide I wanted: one the road keeps up to date itself.

ALL EIGHT ROUTE 66 STATES
Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Each state has its own stretch of the map, its own landmarks and its own badge to earn. Kansas has the shortest run of the eight. Take it slowly anyway.

Route 66 was never one road. It moved, it was straightened, it was bypassed, and long stretches of the older road are still out there to drive. The alignments are drawn on the map, so you can see where the road went before and choose which version of it you want under your wheels.

Route 66 was commissioned in 1926, which makes 2026 its centennial year. A hundred years of diners, motor courts, roadside sculpture, ghost towns and neon, much of it still standing. Worth keeping a proper record of, if you are driving it now.
