You can see every tool call as it happens, so you always know exactly what AMI is doing on your behalf. Built-in Tools AMI comes with 14 native tools out of the box: Real-Time Information — Get live weather for any city in the world. Search the web for current news, events, and information. Read and summarise any webpage by simply sharing a URL. Fetch live cryptocurrency prices with 24-hour change data. Convert any currency using real-time exchange rates. iPhone Integration — Access your current GPS location and find restaurants, hospitals, cafes, ATMs, and any point of interest nearby. Create calendar events and reminders directly from the conversation. Save summaries and notes as Markdown files to your Files app. Look up contacts by name or create new ones. Read your Apple Health data including step count, heart rate, and sleep duration. Open any native iPhone app by simply asking. Streaming Responses AMI streams responses in real time as they are generated, so you see answers forming word by word rather than waiting for a complete response. You can stop generation at any time with a single tap. Conversation Library Every conversation is saved locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework — no cloud account required. The Library tab gives you full access to your chat history, organised by date with pinning support for important conversations. A powerful search feature lets you search not just by conversation title, but across the full content of every message, so you can find anything you discussed days or weeks ago. Voice Input Tap the microphone button and speak your message — AMI transcribes your voice in real time using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework, with no data sent to third-party servers. Privacy First AMI never stores your conversations on external servers. All data lives on your device. Tools that access your personal data — location, contacts, health, calendar — require explicit iOS permission and are only invoked when you ask for them. Customisation Advanced users can connect their own OpenAI API key in Settings to unlock additional models including GPT-4o, GPT-4.1, and more. The default experience requires no setup — just open the app and start talking.
