WHY HANASE IS DIFFERENT
• Built around notifications, not sessions. There's no "study time" to schedule. Cards find you while you're already looking at your devices.
• Works everywhere your Apple devices already work. Native apps for macOS, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Widgets on every platform. Settings sync via iCloud.
• Local-first. No accounts, no analytics, no profile data. Your settings sync between your own devices through iCloud — that's it.
• Beautiful by default. Bundled Newsreader and Noto Serif JP typefaces. Real typography, not stock system fonts.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick a pack — Japanese (JLPT N5 and N4) ships bundled free, and beginner Spanish, French, and German are free too.
2. Set the rhythm — every 20 minutes, every hour, only during work hours, never during quiet hours.
3. Tap notifications throughout the day. A glance, a guess, a reveal. The widget on your home screen and watch face always shows your latest card.

PRIVACY
Hanase has no servers and no account. We collect no analytics, no telemetry, no profile data. Your settings sync between your own Apple devices through iCloud's encrypted Key-Value Store. There is nothing for us to sell because we don't have it.
