Write Minecraft Bedrock .mcfunction packs on iPad. MiniBench is a native, code-first editor for authoring Minecraft Bedrock Edition function packs on iPadOS. Create a project, write your commands, and export a .mcpack that opens directly in Minecraft with one tap — no more hand-editing JSON in a plain text app. THE EDITOR • Syntax highlighting for commands, selectors (@a, @e, @p, @r, @s, @initiator), coordinates (~, ^), strings, numbers, and NBT-like braces • Context-aware autocomplete with a signature bar that previews argument shapes as you type • Tab to accept completions from a picker that ranks the full vanilla 1.21 catalog • Selector-argument key completion inside @e[...] • Snippets palette with common patterns (execute-as-all, execute-if-block, give-item, tp-safe, scoreboard-inc, tag-toggle) • Inline syntactic validation — unknown commands, malformed selectors, unbalanced braces — debounced off the main thread • Light and dark editor themes PROJECTS & FILES • Create function-pack projects with a single-screen wizard • Store locally on your iPad or in iCloud Drive • Valid manifest.json scaffolded automatically with fresh UUIDs • Optional tick.json so your sample function runs every tick on import • Multi-tab editor with unsaved-change indicators • iPad split view opens two .mcfunction files side by side with a draggable divider • Auto-save plus explicit save (Cmd+S); tabs and split state restored across launches EXPORT Export runs the pack through a validator that checks required manifest fields, UUID v4 format, version-array shape, pack_icon.png presence, and functions/ contents. Valid packs are handed to the iOS share sheet as .mcpack — tap "Open in Minecraft" to import. IMPORT Open an existing .mcpack from Files or the share sheet. Function packs are validated and copied into a fresh project for editing.
