YOUR RECIPES, PROPERLY KEPT
Add a recipe four ways — photograph a cookbook page, paste a link, paste text, or type it in. La Tavola reads what you give it and files it properly: ingredients in their sections, the method, times, servings, and the source credited and tappable. You review every field before anything saves.
Browse by genre, category, course or chef. Scale any recipe to the number of people coming — the original is never overwritten. Each recipe keeps a quiet count of how often you've served it, and at which gatherings.
PLAN THE GATHERING
Breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or cocktails. Build the menu course by course, set the date and time, keep the to-do list in one place. The gathering goes to your calendar on creation and stays in step if the date moves.
YOUR GUESTS, REMEMBERED
Add guests from your Contacts and note what each one prefers — what they don't eat, what they'd rather avoid, dietary choices, religious requirements, and whether they love wine. La Tavola never writes anything back to your Contacts.
Track replies with a tap: invited, attending, maybe, declined. Draft a message to everyone at once and send it from Messages.
THOUGHTFUL REMINDERS
As you build a menu, La Tavola quietly points things out. That a dish contains something a guest doesn't eat. That you served the same main to these same people in March. That you gave this one three stars last time and noted why. Every reminder is advisory — a nudge, never a block — and always ends the same way: confirm food preferences directly with your guests.
WINE
Once the menu is set, ask for pairing suggestions and get a wine for each course with a short tasting note and the reason it works. Record what you poured, what it cost, and how it went down.
THE SHOPPING LIST
One list from a whole menu, grouped by aisle, repeated ingredients added together, pantry staples pre-checked. Adjust for the final headcount at the top and every quantity recalculates.
LOOK BACK
Rate a gathering the morning after — the food, the mix of people — and add a note while it's fresh. Over time you build a real record of your entertaining: what you served, to whom, and how it went down.
IPHONE AND IPAD, IN STEP
Take the photos where the camera is easy — your iPhone — and the recipe appears on your iPad, ready for the kitchen counter. Recipes, guests and gatherings stay in sync across both, and everything works without a connection; sync and the AI features catch up when you're back online. Dark mode, Dynamic Type, plain English on every screen.
ABOUT THE AI
Reading recipes, suggesting wine pairings and matching guest preferences are handled by Claude, made by Anthropic, a public benefit corporation. Photographs are used to read the recipe and are not stored by La Tavola or saved to your camera roll.

La Tavola is free to download. New accounts get a trial period with a complimentary allowance of AI-assisted imports and pairings. La Tavola Annual — $19.99 per year, auto-renewing — unlocks up to 250 recipe imports per year, wine pairings and shopping help, subject to fair-use limits. Everything else is included. Price varies by region and is shown in your own currency before you buy.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. It renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings.
