Robin - Wi-Fi Capture Studio
Remote 802.11 pcap over SSH
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Robin turns your iPhone into a control panel for remote Wi-Fi packet capture.
It connects over SSH to your own OpenWrt router, or to a compatible Linux host with a Wi-Fi adapter and the required permissions, to run monitor-mode 802.11 captures and send the resulting pcap straight back to your iPhone.
Robin does not require jailbreaking your iPhone or attaching a USB Wi-Fi adapter to it. The capture runs on your remote device; your iPhone handles connection, scanning, configuration, control, and download.
Robin is not a generic SSH client. It is a guided workflow built for focused Wi-Fi capture:
• Connect — securely over SSH with password or Ed25519/RSA key authentication. Passphrase-protected private keys are supported, and host keys are pinned on first use.
• Scan — discover nearby access points and choose your target.
• Auto-configure — Robin sets the right channel and monitor mode for you.
• Capture — start a tcpdump-based 802.11 capture that keeps running even if your SSH connection drops.
• Download — pull the .pcap to your iPhone and open it in Wireshark or your tool of choice.
WORKS WITH:
• OpenWrt routers, usually with root login
• Compatible Linux hosts with monitor-mode Wi-Fi support, using file capabilities or sudo
• Standard Dropbear / OpenSSH targets, with no SFTP required
BUILT FOR:
Network engineers, Wi-Fi troubleshooters, and security researchers who need a fast, portable way to capture 802.11 traffic from infrastructure they own or are authorized to test.
GOOD TO KNOW:
• Robin requires an SSH-accessible remote device capable of Wi-Fi monitor mode.
• Captures survive SSH disconnects and can be resumed after reconnecting.
• Credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain, never on the remote device.
• Single-radio routers may drop your Wi-Fi control link when capture starts. Robin warns you and suggests controlling the router over cellular or wired networking.
Robin is a capture and transfer tool. Use it only on networks you own or have explicit permission to test. Capturing traffic on networks without authorization may be illegal in your jurisdiction.

This update makes capture history easier to find and manage:
• Search captures by name, Wi-Fi, BSSID, channel, status, filename, and more.
• A new management mode lets you select all, deselect all, and delete multiple records at once. You can also swipe to delete a single record.
• Bulk deletion keeps active captures protected from accidental removal.
• Light mode now has a cleaner porcelain-white palette with clearer cards, forms, status indicators, and improved contrast.
• Refined primary actions and bottom controls for a smoother scrolling experience.
