New Features - Text and config files (Mac, iPhone and iPad): open .txt, .yml, .yaml and .config files from the sidebar, the Open panel or by dragging them in. They open in a plain editor without markdown formatting. - YAML and .config files use a monospaced font with syntax colors. For a .config file, Mndrll reads the contents to tell whether it's YAML, XML, JSON or INI, and the colors update as you edit. - Tab inserts two spaces in YAML files, because YAML doesn't allow tabs. - File names show their extension everywhere, so notes.md and notes.txt are easy to tell apart. - GitHub repos show the .github folder, so you can edit workflow files. Improvements - Code blocks tagged yaml, xml or ini color their keys, tags and sections. - Lists have a little more room between the bullet or number and the text. - In Single Editor, the page no longer jumps when the cursor moves into or out of a blockquote or table. - Files that aren't UTF-8 text, or are over 10 MB, show a message explaining why they can't open. - Saving keeps a file's original line endings, so a Windows-style file doesn't show every line as changed in git. - Default commit messages include the file extension.

New Features - Quick Access panel (Mac and iPad): a side panel with Pinned and Recent tabs. Open files and folders straight from it while your document stays in view. - Toggle it from the toolbar button or with ⌥⌘0. It remembers whether it was open and which tab you were on. - It stays out of the way on the Home screen, which already shows the same lists. Improvements - Toolbar buttons on Mac are now grouped, so the Quick Access button stays with the panel when it's open.

New Features * Tables in Single Editor now have a Copy button at the top-right corner, just above the table. It copies the whole table so you can paste it straight into Numbers, Google Sheets, Docs, Slides or an email, even when the table is showing its raw markdown. It confirms with "Copied!" (Mac and iPhone/iPad). * On Mac the button appears when you hover over a table or while your cursor is inside it. On iPhone and iPad it's always visible. * If you use VoiceOver, each table offers a "Copy table" action. * Eight new themes: Tokyo Night, Tokyo Night Storm and Tokyo Night Light; One Dark Pro; and four Catppuccin flavors — Latte, Frappé, Macchiato and Mocha. Pick one in Settings. On Mac the new themes need Mandrill Pro; on iPhone and iPad they're all included. Improvements * Tables in Single Editor have a little more space above them to make room for the Copy button. * On Mac, Settings and Release Notes now open as a sheet on top of your Mandrill window instead of a separate window, so they never end up on another screen. Close them with the x in the corner or Esc. * The theme list is now grouped by family, so it's easier to find what you want. * The "Pro unlocked" banner in Settings has a new badge. * Large GitHub repositories with many open folders now stay responsive as you move the mouse over the sidebar (Mac). * Very long documents with lots of code blocks and tables no longer slow down the reading view (Mac).

New Features - Open several folders (and a GitHub repo) side by side in one sidebar. Each one has its own section with its own Sync and Close buttons, and a blue bar marks the one your current file lives in. The first folder is free; opening more needs Mandrill Pro (macOS). - Mandrill now reopens your folders, your GitHub repo, and the files you had open when you quit — in the same order, with the same file selected (macOS). - A folder that has moved or gone missing stays in your sidebar marked "Not found", so you can remove it when you're ready. Improvements - New File, New Folder and Sync act on the folder your current file is in. - Editing a file in one folder no longer makes the others refresh, so working across several large folders stays light on your Mac. - If you use VoiceOver, each folder is a heading you can jump between, and Sync and Close buttons say which folder they belong to.

New Features Pin any file or folder from its right-click menu, then find it in a new Pinned list on the Home screen (macOS) or a Pinned shelf at the top of your Library (iOS). Send feedback right from the app; a new "Send Feedback" row in Preferences/Settings opens an email pre-filled to us. Bug Fixes Fixed headings in Split View's editor rendering at the wrong size compared to the live preview. Fixed the live preview pane in Split View not wrapping text to fit its width. Improvements Recent Folders and Recent Files on the Home screen now each have their own "Clear" button, and searching now covers pinned items too.

Bug Fixes - Fixed an issue where editing a file in a GitHub Repo Workspace on iPad and then backgrounding or force-quitting the app could silently lose your edits — you'll now be asked to Sync, Discard, or Cancel if there's unsynced work when reopening a file. - Fixed pushing to GitHub failing with an error if you pushed the same file twice in quick succession.

- Fixed opening a Markdown file from Finder giving you a second Mandrill window. Double-clicking a file — or using Open With — opened a whole new window that carried a copy of everything you already had open, leaving you with two windows showing the same files and the same folder. The file now opens as a tab in the window you already have, and that window comes to the front, even if you'd minimized it. - Fixed your typography settings resetting every time you quit. The typeface, text size and reading width you picked in Settings — and the text size you set with Zoom In and Zoom Out — now stay put across launches, as they already did on iPhone and iPad.

Performance - Typing in long documents is faster. Every keystroke was re-doing work for the whole document above what you could see, so the bigger the file and the further down you'd scrolled, the more each character cost. - The find bar no longer scans a fresh copy of the whole document several times over while you type in it. Bug Fixes - Fixed text shifting under the cursor while you select it in the Single Editor. Selecting across bold, italic, code, or highlighted text made the line reflow mid-drag, so the selection never quite landed where you meant. Fixed the selection highlight not matching the selection when it spanned several lines. Fixed Shift+arrow appearing to do nothing when crossing the markers around bold or italic text — it now steps past them in one press. Fixed closing a folder leaving its files open. The folder's files now close with it, while files you opened on their own stay put. Fixed edits in one tab cancelling an unsaved edit in another, which could quietly lose the second tab's changes. Fixed the sidebar collapsing itself when you closed the last file or folder — it now stays open, showing your recent files. Fixed the search field moving above or below the separator depending on whether a folder was open. Fixed the check for whether Mandrill is your default Markdown viewer never returning an answer.

New Features - You'll now see what's new the first time you open Mandrill after an update. Revisit it anytime from Settings → Release Notes on iPhone/iPad. Bug Fixes - Fixed Settings always appearing in light mode, regardless of your chosen theme. - Fixed Settings ignoring your chosen theme's colors entirely — it now matches the rest of the app. - Fixed some theme switches (between two dark or two light themes) not fully applying to an open document until you closed and reopened it. - Fixed table columns ignoring center/right alignment (:---: / ---: in markdown) — they were always rendering left-aligned. - Fixed a stray extra space appearing at the start of wrapped table cell text. - Fixed inconsistent line spacing in bulleted, numbered, and checklist items so they match the surrounding paragraph text. - Fixed a crash when signing in with GitHub on macOS. - Fixed the GitHub menu icon rendering oversized in some places. - Fixed images inside GitHub-hosted documents not displaying inline. - Fixed leftover tabs and Recent Files entries lingering after closing a GitHub repo workspace. Improvements - The Settings window is roomier, and scrolls if your display is short, nothing gets cut off. - GitHub repos now appear in macOS Recent Folders for quick reopening. - Unsynced changes in a GitHub workspace are now guarded against accidental loss when closing or quitting. - Tightened line spacing across reading and editing for a cleaner, more compact look.
