New in 1.0.27 Say what you see Look at a photo, say the Swedish word, and get feedback on how you pronounced it. A new exercise in Absolute Beginner. en or ett? Nouns are now taught with their article — "en hund", "ett tåg", "en bok". A Swedish noun without en/ett is only half the word, so it now appears everywhere: in the words, the quizzes, the listening and speaking exercises, and your review. The alphabet in more languages All 27 letters explained in Persian/Dari and Somali. Review your mistakes Everything you got wrong is collected in one place, so you can practise exactly that. The mock exam is complete The national test now includes the speaking (Tala) section — all four parts are there. Listen and choose Hear a full sentence and pick what was said.

The app is now in Persian/Dari and Somali – all content, not just the menus. Beginner: a new alphabet chapter, more words, and more listening and speaking. SUGGESTED REPLIES When you don't know what to say in a conversation, two or three short answers are now on offer. Tap "Hjälp mig svara" to see them. Tap one and it goes into the text box – ready to say out loud or send, and you can edit it first. Using them is always your choice. TALK WITH AI FOR BEGINNERS The beginner journey now has short, optional conversations. After each chapter you meet someone who talks about that chapter's own words: Sara asks your name, the barista what you'd like to drink, Nina about the weather. The conversation is small on purpose – two questions, two answers and a friendly goodbye. The voice speaks slowly, the suggestions are visible from the start without having to ask for them, and the whole thing is optional. ALSO - The buttons under the conversation are redrawn: a clearer send button and a quieter discard button.

TALK WITH AI Practise Swedish in an open conversation. Pick a situation – the health centre, a job interview, the café, a neighbour in the stairwell – and talk freely. You record your turn, listen back, and send it yourself, so nothing goes anywhere until you want it to. Corrections appear quietly under what you said. Seventeen situations sorted by difficulty, with easier new topics for anyone just starting at intermediate level. 15 minutes a day included free. Requires an account. A CLEARER SPEAKING SECTION "Speak Swedish" is now Speaking exercises – listen, repeat, answer questions, with an expected answer and a score. The open conversation with AI is a different thing and now sits beside it. FIXED - The dictation submit button could not be tapped until you replayed the sentence. - Arabic: Swedish sentences showed their full stops and question marks at the wrong end of the line, and in "review your mistakes" the arrow between a pair pointed the wrong way. - The microphone in free talk could be tapped before the character had spoken.
