What we added to the Finiin app Faster, easier paying with Apple Pay and Google Pay We made it so customers can now pay in the app with Apple Pay (on iPhone) and Google Pay (on Android), in addition to typing in a card.

Customer app: Improved checkout and order history with a cleaner empty cart view, smarter checkout button text, formatted phone numbers, compact order cards, search/filter, and Repeat Order.

We improved the customer ordering flow so food ordering is smoother, clearer, and easier to understand. Restaurant checkout now has clearer labels, a simpler checkout area, and a floating checkout bar so customers can see their cart and pay without searching. We also redesigned grocery ordering into a cleaner flow: customers build a grocery list first, then continue to checkout. Grocery categories are collapsed, custom items are smaller, and grocery requests now show clearer progress like waiting for pricing, price ready, review and pay, and paid/preparing. We also improved the email signup problem by setting up Resend SMTP in Supabase, so customer verification emails should be more reliable and not hit Supabase default email limits as quickly. One correction: we discussed push notifications for grocery price-ready alerts, but we have not built push notifications yet. The app now shows clearer in-app grocery progress, but automatic phone notifications and deep links should be a separate next feature. You can test now: customer signup email, restaurant food checkout, grocery list submit, grocery pricing/review/pay flow, order tracking after payment.

Customer app update: Improved the ordering experience by making the checkout flow clearer. The app now separates the current cart/checkout from past order history, adds clearer “Orders” and “Order History” labels, and explains that driver tips are optional after delivery.

Fixed customer account creation. New users now receive a 6-digit email verification code and can enter it directly in the app to finish creating their account. The app also checks if an email already belongs to an existing Finiin account, so customers are told to sign in instead of being shown a confusing “code sent” message.

This update improves customer checkout and grocery delivery reliability. We simplified the delivery address form so customers enter street address, city, state, and ZIP more clearly. We also added safeguards to block invalid long-distance grocery deliveries and prevent incorrect delivery fees or driver jobs.
