What’s New Since Version 1.0.0 (Build 12) Camino Amigo has received major upgrades across trip preparation, walking support, route and accommodation data, localization, and reliability: • Added lock-screen walking progress, allowing pilgrims to see today’s distance without opening the app. • Added departure-date planning, a D-day countdown, and a reminder on the day before departure. • Added privacy-focused Family Safety Links. Users can create and revoke a link that lets loved ones follow city-by-city progress without revealing the pilgrim’s exact location. • Added app sharing and an Ambassador achievement, plus support contact options through Instagram, WhatsApp, KakaoTalk, and email. • Added 21 alternative Camino route options and corrected route and town coordinates on several routes. • Expanded the app from seven to nine languages with Dutch and Japanese, including localized town descriptions and points of interest. Japanese text and generated PDFs now have proper font support. • Improved the full elevation profile with correct, tappable town names. • Thoroughly refreshed albergue data: 276 accommodations were added; closed and duplicate listings were removed; misclassified properties were corrected; and locations, prices, bed counts, names, and descriptions were updated. • Added in-app announcements and localized release notes, an installed-version display, and a manual update check in App Settings. • Added a server-validated redemption flow for pre-authorized complimentary access and partner benefits. It does not sell digital goods or link users to an external purchase method. • Improved route-stamp visibility in journal and share-card flows. • Improved restoring your passport, journey, and photos after reinstalling or switching devices. • Improved sign-in feedback and reliability, walking-day calculations, achievement syncing, route-loading performance, and battery and memory use during long walks. • Fixed maps sometimes showing a blank screen, with automatic recovery when back online. • Fixed crashes or freezes that could occur while starting or recording a walk, tracking in the background, syncing during a walk, removing a town from a plan, loading route assets, or handling repeated sign-in callbacks. • Corrected town and albergue descriptions and other localization issues.
