The menu says “vegetable curry.” VikSchewa tells you it probably contains fish sauce.
Photograph any menu — VikSchewa translates it into your language, spots your allergens, scores every dish against your profile, and warns you about ingredients that aren’t even listed.
ONE OF A KIND: HIDDEN-INGREDIENT WARNING
Fish sauce in a Thai curry, bacon in the carbonara, meat stock in the “vegetable” soup: many dishes contain typical ingredients no menu ever lists. VikSchewa knows the world’s cuisines and warns you — matched to your allergens AND your diet (29 critical ingredients, from dashi to gelatin). Free for everyone. It also flags trace risks from the kitchen — like a shared fryer or a shared grill.
ALLERGY PASS FOR THE WAITER
Show staff your allergies in their language — a clear full-screen card, available offline, in 85 languages. Built once from your profile, always with you. Now with a cross-contact note and the right questions to ask the kitchen.
“MATCH FOR YOU” — YOUR PERSONAL SCORE
Pick your allergens, diets (vegan, vegetarian, halal, kosher, gluten-free, lactose-free, pescatarian), dislikes, favorite cuisines and your taste (spicy, sour, sweet, savory, rich). VikSchewa scores every dish 0–100, sorts the best for you to the top and explains why — and gets smarter with every favorite you save. And when a dish is risky for you, VikSchewa shows safer picks from the same menu.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Your photo never leaves your iPhone: the menu text is recognized on the device, and only that text is sent for translation. On newer iPhones, Apple Intelligence generates ordering phrases and match explanations entirely on-device. No account, no tracking, GDPR-compliant.
FREE & PRO
Free: 15 scans/month (max 3/day) — with hidden-ingredient warnings, Allergy Pass, translation, allergens, personal match, food culture, pronunciation, currency conversion, iCloud sync, and an order plan up to 5 dishes.

IMPORTANT
All results (allergens, hidden ingredients, nutrition) are AI estimates, not medical advice. If you have allergies, always double-check with restaurant staff — that’s exactly what the Allergy Pass is for.

Your travel collection is finally easy to find
Country stamps, the world map, your traveler pass and the year in review were all there already — just hidden behind an invisible swipe. Now a card on the home screen opens the stamp album directly, and all four live together in one place. It also shows how many countries you still have left to collect.
Also fixed:
• In light appearance, the dark cards showed black text on a black background: "My Account", your travel rank and the country progress were unreadable.
• AI-generated dish images are labeled as such again, everywhere they appear.
• Dish photos sat under a pale veil and looked washed out.
• The home button now also takes you back from a scan result.
• Long ingredient labels ran off the edge of the image.
• The back of the account card is marked with an arrow — previously only an invisible swipe opened it.
• The account card title no longer gets shortened at large text sizes.
• Trip names in your history now follow the language the app runs in.
If VikSchewa helps you on your travels, we'd love a review on the App Store.
