What's new in 2.85: • Finishing your profile now ends with pilots at and around your home airport. Tick the ones you know, then tap Connect. • Profiles of A&Ps, AMEs and other licensed maintenance engineers now show an Aircraft engineer badge that opens their engineer page and reviews.

What's new in 2.84: • Find an engineer: Browse → People → Engineers lists A&P, AME and Part-66 aircraft maintenance engineers, nearest first from your home airport (or one you pick). Filter by licence or specialty. • Engineer pages show licences, airports, experience, skills and members' reviews; connections can review their work. • Search finds engineers too. • Hold a maintenance licence? Edit profile lets you add the airports you work at, or hide from the list.

What's new in 2.83: • Log simulator flights: tap "Flew a simulator?" under Aircraft, pick your device (or add one) and the aircraft it simulates, then your route and stops like any flight. Sim time is kept separate from your aircraft hours. • Your logbook shows Sim hrs beside Total hrs, and big totals stay on one row (12.3k). • Rate av8db from your account menu. • Removing a qualification now takes it off your list straight away.

What's new in 2.82: • Jobs you might be interested in: open roles near you now show in your feed, with See all for the whole jobs board. • Pilots you might know loads reliably, even if you scroll past it while it's loading. • Build your network: while you have fewer than five connections, your feed suggests finding pilots from your contacts and inviting the ones who aren't on av8db yet. "Invite from my contacts" is also on your Connections screen, in your account menu and at the last step of profile setup. • Inviting is simpler: one tap to check your contacts, and everyone's listed straight away.

• Log multi-leg flights: add each stop along the way, and your logbook shows the whole route. • See your logbook's health at a glance: how many flights are complete, and what's missing. • Clean up in minutes: step through flights missing an airport or hours. A code that didn't match an airport comes with suggestions, and fixing it can fix every flight logged with the same code. • Deleting a flight you synced from another logbook now asks whether to remove it there too.

• Your logbook now shows every flight. Older flights load as you scroll. • Tap a flight to see it in full: route, every hours column, block times, landings, notes and photos. Then tap Edit to change or delete it. • Profiles show the connections you have in common. Tap to see everyone you both know. • Forgot your password? Tap Forgot? on the sign-in screen to reset it.

What's new in 2.7: • Add an aircraft you're connected to — as its owner, manager, broker, operator (you fly or have flown it) or renter. Only its owner or manager can offer it for rent. • Your profile's aircraft show whether you own or manage each one. • Aviation professionals — cabin crew, dispatchers, maintenance and ground crew — can join with their own setup and certificates. • Every role shows what it asks for: licences, certificates, hours and more. • Open to new roles: let recruiters know you're looking, in Settings. Only recruiters see it. • Your account screen picks up a new photo or banner you set on the website.

A fresh new look that matches av8db.com: • Profiles have a wide banner — pick a photo and drag it into place • Posts show each pilot's headline, plus flight route strips and review cards • Like, comment, reply and share posts; edit or delete your own • Photos in the feed are shown whole, never cropped • Airport review photos show as a wide strip — drag to choose the part that shows • Find your Connections in the account menu, and start a chat with any connection • Add or remove certificates and ratings from Edit profile • Tapping a notification takes you to the right place, plus lots of smaller fixes

• New "Pilots you might know" suggestions in your feed — connect with a tap. • Endorse pilots you know, and request endorsements. • Google/Apple sign-in now warns before creating a duplicate account. • YouTube Shorts, tall photos, and feed videos all display and play better. • Fixes and polish.

Tap any video in your feed to play it right there. Also fixed a layout issue where some videos could push a post's text off screen.

• Add an aircraft from any country's registry, not just the US and Canada — the tail number is checked against that authority's format. • A faster add-aircraft form: search for the registry and manufacturer, and capture more detail (type code, serial number, airframe hours, home airport and more). • Airport reviews you post can now be shared to your feed. • Photos keep their capture location, so aircraft and airport shots map correctly. • Fixes and polish throughout.

• Take photos with your camera anywhere you add a picture — posts, reviews, logbook, and your profile • YouTube links in the feed now play right inside the app • Apply to jobs directly with the new "Apply now on av8db" button • A refreshed glass top bar that matches the tab bar • Add the aircraft you own, plus businesses and links, from your profile • Add photos to airport reviews • Faster photo viewer, smoother enlarged-photo scrolling, and lots of polish and fixes

• Sign in with Apple and Google • Search av8db right from the feed — pilots, aircraft, airports, businesses and jobs • Like individual comments, not just posts • Tap someone's name in a chat to open their profile • Smoother full-screen photos and post-formatting fixes • Performance and reliability improvements

av8db 2.0 is a new app, built from the ground up for iPhone. • Faster everywhere: native screens for the feed, airports, logbook, businesses and chat • Connect in person: show your QR code, scan another pilot's, or share your link by AirDrop • Invite from your contacts by text or email, and see who's already here • Log a flight by tail number and share it to the feed, with photos • Airport reviews with a photo, fuel prices, and instructor and school reviews • Comments open in place, and liking never loses your spot • Airports, businesses and pilots near you, sorted by your location
