Focal Three
Only three. Always visible.
$2.99
A calm priority board for the three things that matter most — across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, widgets, Lock Screen, StandBy, and TRMNL e-ink.
Focal Three keeps your three most important projects always visible — without the noise of a giant task list.
Most productivity tools reward capture. They make it easy to collect twenty, fifty, a hundred things to think about, then leave you scanning a wall of text every time you open the app. Focal Three is the opposite. It's not where all your work lives — it's the surface that decides what's visible.
Create as many categories as you like: Work, Personal, Fun, House, Someday. Each category has its own list, but only three projects get promoted into the focus view. Those three appear as quiet, well-typeset cards. Everything else stays below the fold until you promote it.
— Six visual themes —
Whitespace Triplet, The Index, Triptych, Compass, Today's Brief, Horizon. Switch in Settings; each is a different visual language for the same three priorities — restraint, editorial, painterly, navigational, journalistic, landscape.
— Surfaces everywhere —
• iPhone Home Screen widgets (Small / Medium / Large)
• iOS Lock Screen + StandBy (Circular, Rectangular, Inline)
• iPad widget tiles and split-view
• macOS desktop widget and full window
• Apple Watch app + four complication families across every face
• Spotlight, Shortcuts, and the iOS Action Button — "Show my top three" reads them aloud
• TRMNL e-ink push (configure a Custom Plugin URL in Settings; Focal Three POSTs your top three as merge variables every time they change)
— Quiet "Also today" —
Optional Calendar and Reminders integration via EventKit. Today's events and reminders due today appear beneath your three, never above. Nothing leaves your device.
— Private by default —
iCloud sync via your private CloudKit database. No third-party server. No analytics. No account required.
Only three. Always visible.
