New: profile photos. In a village you know people by sight first — your photo appears in the directory and beside your name. Only signed-in members of the village can see it, never the open web, and you can remove it in one tap from your profile. It's also offered when you sign up, and never required. For organisations: • Their listing now shows their upcoming programme and a list of what they offer — a table, a stay, a tasting, a service — with a photo for each. • Each offer can take requests, including from visitors without an account. The form fits the offer: date, time and party size for a restaurant; arrival and departure for a place to stay. • The organisation answers from its requests inbox: Confirm, Suggest something else (another date or time) or Decline, with a note if it likes. The person who asked is told by email. • Emails and links to their website say they came via Salut Voisin, so organisations can see what their listing brings in. Privacy: two cases where an address could be shown beyond the people allowed to see it have been fixed, and event bookings can no longer be read without signing in. Salut Voisin is now published by 2BalanceU France; the privacy notice and terms of use have been updated to match.

New: the app now tells you what is waiting for you. A count appears on the relevant icon — connection requests, ride seat requests, reservations on your events, and answers to your small ads. Lists of neighbours are now in alphabetical order, in the alphabet of your own language. Fixes: • The app could open empty after signing in, with no connections, events or news. • Administration and Organisations could vanish for admins until the page was reloaded. • Signed out on the profile page there was no way back in — there is now a Sign in button. • An organisation's admins can now see the guest list for their own events. • The answer count stays visible on an ad once it is marked answered or expires. • Visit announcements now say who can see them: your household and approved friends — your presence only, never your absence.

Classified ads have arrived. The village noticeboard is open to every resident: sell a bike, give away what you no longer need, ask for a hand, report something lost, offer a room to let. • Pick a category and add a photo • Search by category or by word • Every ad runs for two weeks — mark it done the moment it's settled • You choose: visible to members only, or to anyone • An interested neighbour leaves their contact details and you reply directly — Salut Voisin doesn't sit in the middle Garage sales, house clearances, open houses and meet-ups can also appear in the village calendar, with one tick. Your ads and the replies they get are in your profile. Also in this version: your residence status (full time or seasonal) is set from your profile, and the visit announcement now only appears for the people it applies to. Plus some fixes — the author's name now shows on every post, and translations appear everywhere, including the calendar.

Living under the same roof If someone in your household already uses Salut Voisin, you can now ask to join them instead of setting up a household of your own. Type your address when you sign up: if a household is already registered there, the app offers to introduce you. The people already in it decide, and until they do, nothing about their household is shown to you. Members who joined earlier can ask the same way, from Profile → Household. Your household now has a name, and it need not be a surname. "Valhalla d'Oc" works as well as "Dupont" — useful when a household has two surnames, or when other families in the village share yours. You can change it whenever you like. The village's makers and shops, properly sorted Every listing now sits under the heading you would actually look for: landscaping, wellness, bakery, gallery, winegrower, farm produce. Places to stay say which kind they are — a room, a gîte, a B&B, a whole house. If a trade is not on the list, the business writes in its own. Categories nobody has filled yet are shown too, so you can see at a glance what the village is still missing. And the demonstration examples that used to sit alongside real listings are gone. Asking for a lift, not only offering one The ride board only ever held offers. You can now say where you need to get to and when, and a neighbour driving that way can answer. Either side can name a contribution towards petrol: the driver asks for one, the passenger offers one. Every message in your own language Notifications — a connection request, a seat confirmed, someone asking to join your household — now arrive in the language you chose, rather than always in French. Events and announcements posted by a local organisation finally show its logo and verified badge.

Winemakers, artisans, places to stay, shops and associations each have a listing: opening hours, how to reach them, what they offer. A listing written in French reads in English or Swedish, whichever you have chosen — and the other way round. Every organisation also gets a simple address to share, for a business card or the end of an email. What's happening in the village The calendar, announcements from the town hall and local associations, events running over several days, and weekly regulars. A notice can now carry an end date, so the board stays current instead of filling up — and nothing is lost, since past notices stay readable. Finding the neighbours you know You can now search for a resident by name and send them a connection request. Contact details are shared only when you both agree. To reach someone nearby without swapping numbers, you can write to them through the app: the message reaches them, your address stays private, and whether they reply is up to them. For local organisations The town hall, associations, winemakers and businesses run their own space: post, follow bookings, keep the listing current, and decide who on their team has access. Committees change — handing over no longer goes through us. The interests you chose when you signed up finally appear on your card — visible to your friends only, not to the rest of the village.
