A MOSHPIT FOR MINDS PAUSO is an abstract strategy game about pushing & stacking rings. Place a ring and every ring next to it, including diagonally, gets pushed one space away. Push a ring onto another and it stacks and scores a point. No dice, no luck. Every position on the board is the direct result of what someone did to it. LEARN IN ONE GAME Play your first game in under 2 minutes. A duel on a bare 4x4 board against your first opponent. No modifiers, no timer. Place a ring, watch what happens, and intuitively get familiar with the mechanics. PLAY ONLINE Real-time 1v1 duels on a 4x4 board with modifiers. Quick games, exciting skill-based rules and a new board every time. Win to gain Aura and climb the leaderboard. PLAY FRIENDS Take turns anytime, if you want a break from real-time games. Build your own board, pick your mods, play at your own pace. Friendly games don’t affect your Aura. DAILY PUZZLE The solo mode if you need a break from duels. One board a day, the same for everyone. Can you solve it and score 7/7? FREE, NO LOGIN Play immediately as a guest. Sign in when you want to save your Aura, your stats and your streaks. we were playing with some friends from paris in a bar with low light, a 3p game transitioning into 4p then 5p and incredible insights have been gained. I want physical and digital to be consistent and have spent much time reflecting on the + and - mod which both cause issues in the physical version and have been concept tested digitally. what I landed on was economy - a fix to the narrative arc that peaked in mid game due to +2-1, now + and - win and lose extra rings - and the tension rises all the way until the end, a great way to play poles. futhermore lots of housecleaning and auditing given the dev sprint, the product is crystallising well, and I am happily throwing the old stuff
