Imposter is an exciting offline party and word game that brings maximum fun to gatherings with your friends and family. Get together, choose your category, and test your wits to find the hidden spy among you!
What is the Objective?
In the game, one or more players take on the role of the Imposter (secret spy), while all other players know a shared secret word. Your goal is to figure out who the Imposter is by discussing and giving clever clues. If you are the Imposter, your goal is to pretend you know the secret word, deflect suspicion, and guess the secret word correctly at the end of the round to win.
How to Play?
1. Set the number of players and choose how many Imposters will be in the game.
2. Select from dozens of categories such as Food, Animals, Countries, Movies, Professions, Sports, and Technology.
3. Pass the phone around so each player can secretly view their assigned word or Imposter role.
4. When the game begins, players take turns giving a subtle clue or saying a short sentence related to the secret word.
5. Innocents try to prove they know the word without giving it away, while the Imposter tries to deduce the word and stay undetected.
6. Once everyone has given their clues, discussion and voting begin. If the person with the most votes is the Imposter, innocents win. But if the Imposter guesses the secret word, they steal the victory!
