Music you can't play right now is grayed out, and removing a source really removes its songs. • Songs on your server that aren't downloaded are grayed out while you're offline or the server is down. Artists, albums, genres and playlists gray out too when none of their songs can play • New eye button in the library, next to the folder button: hide unavailable music instead of graying it out • Removing a folder or server in Settings now removes its songs from your library too. A new mixer and a cover that fits every iPhone. • Mixer: volume, the 5-band EQ and playback speed in one panel. On iPhone it folds down to a single volume slider; tap EQ to open it • EQ presets in one tap: Flat, Rock, Jazz, Pop, Vocal and Bass • Speed is now a slider, from 0.5× to 3× • The cover is always shown whole and fits smaller iPhones such as the mini; turn on Large cover in Settings › Appearance for a bigger one • Karaoke screen: the title and controls stay in place on smaller iPhones Something not working, or missing? A better Library, a Karaoke button on the player, and Jukebox on the Mac. • Library: browse by Genres, Artists, Albums and Songs. Better FLAC support and cleaner karaoke. • FLAC files now show their title, artist, album, cover and embedded lyrics, synced lyrics included. Fixes for folder-organised libraries. • With Track order set to Folders, albums now play in the same order as in the folder browser: after an album's last song comes the next folder — also with accented letters, spaces or numbers in folder names • The album list follows folder order too when Track order is set to Folders • Picking an album or browsing your folders no longer jumps back to the first album shortly after launch, and open lists no longer scroll back to the top Something not working, or missing? Karaoke, and album covers from your own folders. • Karaoke: add songs to the new Karaoke playlist and Jukebox removes the vocals right on your iPhone or iPad — about a minute or two per song, nothing leaves your device. Then sing on the full-screen karaoke screen: switch the vocals on and off without a gap, blend the singer back in with Guide vocals, nudge the lyrics timing, send it to the TV with AirPlay, and turn the phone sideways or hide everything but the lyrics • Lyrics come from your own .lrc or .txt file next to the song, or from the song's tags, and scroll in time • Album covers: a cover.jpg or folder.jpg in an album's folder — on your device or your server — now shows for all its songs, even with online artwork turned off • Tap a song in a playlist to play the playlist from there • Downloads: see the ones still in progress, and cancel them one by one or all at once • After the last song of a playlist or album has played, play, scrubbing and previous work again Something not working, or missing? Fixes for AirPods, album track order, stopping playback, the widget and the iPod Classic player. • AirPods: squeezing the stem to resume a paused song now plays it again on your iPhone. Before, a song paused from your server could hand the AirPods over to a nearby Mac, or the second squeeze did nothing at all • Albums play in track order again, read from the songs' own tags, instead of alphabetically. Songs on your server are checked in the background after the next library scan • Widget: the album cover now shows with the Clear and Tinted Home Screen styles, instead of a blank white square • Stopping playback, or reaching the end of the queue, now removes the player from the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, instead of leaving it there until you swipe it away • iPod Classic: the time remaining under the progress bar is no longer cut off at the right edge of the screen • Lyrics now come only from your own files: a .lrc or .txt file with the same name next to the song, or lyrics saved in the song's tags. A Now Playing widget — on your Home Screen, Lock Screen and in the car. • Now Playing widget: the song, its cover, play/pause and skip at a glance. Small fixes, and a refreshed App Store page that shows where your music comes from: your iPhone, a NAS or WebDAV server, or Jellyfin.

Lyrics show up for more of your songs. • Lyrics files on your server: put a .lrc or .txt file next to a song on your WebDAV server, with the same name as the song, and Jukebox shows it. Synced .lrc lyrics scroll along with the music • More online lyrics: when your copy of a song is a few seconds longer or shorter than the version in the lyrics database, Jukebox now still finds the right lyrics instead of showing none Something not working, or missing? Jukebox is in the car now, and has a new icon. • CarPlay: your playlists, artists and albums on the car's screen, with shuffle, repeat and an Up Next list — playing the same library as on the phone, including songs already downloaded from your server • New app icon: a plain amber disc that stays readable at small sizes and on the dark screens CarPlay and dark mode use. Albums now play without gaps, and the whole app speaks your language. • Gapless playback: the next song is lined up before the current one ends, so live albums, DJ mixes and albums that run one track into the next play straight through. Jellyfin playback works again, and the Watch keeps playing. • Fixed: nothing on a Jellyfin server would play or download. The address Jukebox built for each track dropped its access key on the way out, so the server turned every request away. If you added a Jellyfin server and got silence, this was why • Apple Watch: music synced to the watch no longer stops the moment you lower your wrist • Apple Watch: Now Playing no longer freezes after you reopen Jukebox on your iPhone — it used to stay stuck until you relaunched the watch app too • Your unlock no longer disappears when the App Store can't be reached at launch, or while you are signed out • The genre, artist and album menus are translated now, and the welcome screen speaks all seven languages • Renaming a playlist no longer snaps the old name back while you are typing • Server libraries scan several folders at once, so a large collection indexes noticeably faster — and one brief hiccup no longer marks a whole source unreadable • Siri answers faster on large libraries • The clock and the progress bar keep running while you scroll a list • Other apps get their audio back when playback ends, instead of staying quiet afterwards • Track changes land exactly when the previous song ends • iPad: the Up Next list no longer shows the wrong row when a playlist holds the same track twice • A purchase approved while Jukebox was still starting up — an Ask to Buy approval, or one interrupted earlier — is picked up straight away instead of waiting for the next launch • A purchase that can't be verified no longer comes back with the same error at every launch

New: a welcome screen on first launch that explains what Jukebox is and asks where your music is. Jukebox plays music files you already own, so it needs to know where to look — pick a folder in Files, or connect a WebDAV or Jellyfin server. If a scan finds nothing, the app now says so instead of leaving you with an empty player.

Bugfix release

Shuffle now tells you what it is shuffling. • The All / Artist / Album buttons under the artwork are labelled "Shuffle:" and look like buttons now. They always started a shuffle, but they read like library filters, so shuffle seemed to switch itself on • Whichever one is running lights up, so you can see at a glance whether you are shuffling your whole library, one artist or one album • "Shuffle artist" follows the song you are listening to. It used to shuffle whichever artist came first alphabetically, whatever was playing • It also no longer restarts the current song when that artist has just one track in your library • New in Settings › Library: Track order. Pick "Folders" and Jukebox plays a folder's files in order, then moves on to the next folder — the setting to choose if your files have no tags • Songs you start from the folder browser keep their artist, album, artwork and length instead of playing untitled • The shuffle menu is translated everywhere it appears — it used to stay in English Several of these came from one detailed review. Siri got better at listening. • Say "Play Deep Purple on Jukebox" — or "on the Jukebox", or simply "Jukebox play Deep Purple" — and it starts playing right away, no need to open the app • Works the same for a song, an album or a playlist by name • The same actions are available in the Shortcuts app, so you can build your own automations around your library • Fixed a scan bug that could leave your library empty: a single album folder with square brackets in its name, like "[Remastered]" or "[Disc 1]", was enough to make the whole scan come up with nothing — silently • A scan that can't read part of a server now says so instead of quietly indexing less than it should

Support Jukebox - If the app has earned a spot in your day, you can now leave a small optional tip — the "Token of appreciation" — in Settings › Support. Jukebox stays completely free and fully functional; this is purely a thank-you if you'd like to give one. Plus minor fixes and polish.

Offline downloads and Apple Watch playback - Download songs, albums or whole playlists from your networked libraries (WebDAV/Jellyfin) for offline listening — they play straight from the device, no connection needed. - Sync a playlist to your Apple Watch and play it on its own over Bluetooth, without your phone nearby. - New Downloads screen (Settings > Offline) shows storage used and lets you manage what's saved. - A progress indicator in the toolbar shows downloads and watch sync at a glance. - Fixed: tapping a playlist now opens it instead of closing the screen.
