Voice notes turn into words. Record one on an observation and its words go into the note for you to read and change, even if you save before they arrive or have no signal at the time. You can photograph any child. A photo of a child without photo consent is kept for your records, marked Not for sharing, and never shown to their family. On the register: Everyone's here marks the whole group present in one tap, and Count heads records a headcount against the register. Children have their own tab. The Clearing is on Home. Adding an observation from a child's page or the Observations tab opens it there, and saving keeps you there. A note you've written asks before it's thrown away. Parents can use the app too. Booked a place for your child? Choose "My child goes to one" on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a code. You get what's booked and when, and each child's days in the woods: what their leader wrote, and the photos they shared. Volunteers no longer see children's medical details. And many fixes to saving, sending and working with no signal.

Plan a session by its activities, not just its name. Set whittling up once under Settings, Activities: where it happens, how to run it, what it needs and the risk assessments that cover it. Start typing it into a plan and it fills itself in. Change it later — the forgotten knife, a step you want everyone to follow — and the sessions you have already planned change with it. Days that have already run keep what they had. Tap an activity in the wood and you get the risk assessment that covers it and how to run it, rather than the whole day's assessments in a list. Where it happens rides on the label, which helps when the fire circle and the pond are a long walk apart. An incident can now say which activity it happened in, and you can log one from the activity you are standing at. Buttons stay where your thumb is: on a long form they no longer scroll off the bottom.

Counting a tool back in, and confirming a fire out and cold, now stay on the record. The phone showed them done, but the session still came back reading sharps unaccounted, and would not let you sign the day off. What you write in the woods is signed with your name, instead of the first part of your email address. A child whose details came in through a booking can have a concern raised about them from the phone, like everyone else on the register. Safeguarding training sits on your record with your DBS and first aid. Add each course: the level, when you did it, and when it expires. The levels stack, so a Level 3 sits alongside the Level 2 you already hold. Tap 1, 2 or 3 years beside any expiry and it fills in from the date of the course. You can look round the app and set up your record before you join a forest school, and join one later with a code. The wordmark is on one line, with new artwork behind it.

The register asks who is here and who is not, and nothing else. Signing children out is its own button: one child when somebody leaves early, or everyone still here at the end of the day. It records the time they went, and the session report shows it. Add an observation from a child's own record, or from a session that has already finished. It asks which session, then opens the usual sheet with the child ticked. You can edit an observation later and add a photo to one written earlier. An observation changed after it was written says "edited". The first aid, accident and incident forms are findable from Home, from the More menu while you are running a session, and from the quick incident note. They fill in with no signal and send themselves when you are back in range.
