Floor Plan PDF: export a contractor-ready, to-scale floor plan straight from a room. The new doc.richtext toolbar button renders a single-page US-Letter vector PDF — the room drawn at 1/4" = 1 ft with a scale bar, every wall labelled, Area/Perimeter/Volume stamped, and a shopping list (flooring, paint, baseboard, wallpaper) — and shares it through the existing share sheet to AirDrop/Mail/Files. Plus stability fixes: cancelling a brand-new room no longer leaves an empty room behind, measurements always merge into the latest saved room, exports get sensibly named files, and dead calibration stat

Version 1.2 makes the Materials screen a complete renovation planning tool: Trim & Baseboard — The new Trim estimate tells you exactly how many linear feet of baseboard to buy. Enter the number of doorways to skip and choose 8 ft or 12 ft boards; Roomtape returns the net run, 10% waste buffer, purchase total in feet and meters, and the board count to bring to the hardware store. Wallpaper — New Wallpaper estimate covers your wall area in plain, small-repeat, or large-repeat paper (15–35% waste depending on pattern match). Shows both single and double rolls so you can match what's on the shelf. Door & Window Deductions — The Paint estimate now lets you tap + / − to specify how many doors and windows the room has. Roomtape deducts standard opening areas (32 × 80 in door, 36 × 42 in window) from the gross wall area before calculating how much paint to buy, so you're not over-ordering for surfaces you won't touch. Richer Plain-Text Export — The share export for any measured room now includes a material summary section with flooring, paint, wallpaper, and trim figures — ready to paste into a shopping list or send to your contractor.

Version 1.1 adds two practical features built for real projects: Material Estimator — Open any measured room and tap Materials to get instant flooring and paint estimates. Choose from 8 flooring types (hardwood straight/diagonal/herringbone, LVP, tile, carpet) and Roomtape applies the correct industry-standard waste factor (10–17%). Paint shows wall area, ceiling area, litres and US gallons needed for two coats. No network required — all math is on-device. Room Export — Tap the share icon on any room (or on the main list) to send a plain-text summary of your measurements to Notes, Messages, or any other app. The list-level share exports all rooms as a CSV formatted for Numbers, Excel, or Google Sheets.
