MacroTrack now speaks German and French, with local food databases for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Belgium. Choose the app’s language any time in Settings. Search now matches accented food names with or without the accent: “jalapeno” finds Jalapeño, “creme brulee” finds Crème brûlée.

Metric units. Log body weight in kilograms and see energy in kJ — chosen at setup, switchable any time in Settings. Body fat: record a percentage with any weight entry; it shows in the diary. Light theme now follows your system setting — the app no longer forces dark, so the keyboard matches the screen. iPad: the app rotates to landscape and works in Split View instead of locking to portrait. Accessibility pass. Text contrast now clears WCAG AA against every background in all four themes, nothing renders below 10pt, Reduce Motion is respected across every animated surface, and icon-only controls — including the tab bar's add button — are named for VoiceOver. Privacy: the microphone permission is gone. The camera is only ever used to scan barcodes, so the app no longer asks for audio access. Fixes: long recipe names can be edited and no longer overflow their field.

New: your weight journey at a glance. The weight screen now leads with how much you've lost since you started and how far you have to go, with the 7-day trend alongside it. Every target now shows its source. A new methodology screen cites the research behind each figure MacroTrack calculates — the resting-energy equations, the activity multiplier, the calorie-deficit conversion, and the protein, fat, fiber, sugar, and sodium targets. Open it from Settings, from the Daily Targets editor, or from onboarding. iPad: the app now lays out in a centered column instead of stretching across the full width of the screen. Fixes: Corrected calorie data for some branded foods

New: import recipes. Paste a link from a recipe site — or paste the ingredient list as plain text — and MacroTrack parses the ingredients, matches each one to a food, and shows you a review screen before anything is saved. Swap a match, fix an amount, skip a line, then send the whole thing to the recipe builder. Custom foods got simpler: one serving control instead of two, Save moved into the header where you expect it, and a serving no longer has to have a weight — "1 scoop" is a valid serving now. Zero-calorie foods save without a fight. Fixes: search remembers far more of your recent foods, plain foods rank above prepared dishes on generic searches, and the keyboard no longer covers the field you are typing into.

New: water tracking. Log glasses, bottles, or a custom amount from the dashboard or the log screen, set a daily goal (or let MacroTrack derive one), and watch the gauge fill — same instrument look, zero nagging. Recipes got sharper: edit a recipe straight from its detail sheet, the row menu now opens right where you tapped, and ingredients you add to a recipe show up in your recents like everything else you log. Fixes: a duplicate barcode button in search, streaks no longer credit empty days, and restoring a backup merges cleanly with what's on the device.

Custom foods now use real serving units. Pick grams, millilitres, ounces or pounds, and give a portion your own name — "1 scoop (30 g)" — so it becomes a unit you can actually log. Build a recipe from the log and it now hands straight to the entry sheet for the meal you started from. Barcode scanning finds more branded products. Refreshed colours for the Pro themes. Fixes: the amount calculator keeps the number you typed when you switch units, and the amount field and recipe ingredient rows now render correctly on Android.
