Several pages at once on tablets: lay the whole song out side by side in fullscreen and turn pages far less often. Works for both chord sheets and PDFs, and the choice is remembered per song. Draw on the sheet. Drag what you have selected to move it, pinch to resize, and tap a note to grab it. Drop in ready-made words like "Capo" and "Repeat", or write your own straight onto the sheet in handwriting. Drawings can be shared with the band, on PDFs too. Blank sheet: create a song that is just an empty page you draw on. Hear the chords. Tap a diagram to hear the shape played as a real voicing, with each string lighting up as it rings. Piano diagrams play too. Choose how fast the strings are struck, from a quick strum to one at a time while learning. Diagrams can sit wherever you want them, or fold away. A new transpose wheel with your own key at the top, and capo suggestions when you transpose upwards. The circle of fifths is included as a reference: see which chords belong together and which neighbouring keys are closest. Chord charts in notes: enter bars and chords by tapping the beat they start on, with endings, repeat signs and rests as in sheet music. Notes can have their own paper colour and be made translucent, so you can see the chord sheet through them. Choose the colour of chord symbols and whether they are semi-bold. Comments now follow the ChordPro standard. Text size is now one percentage per song, with a slider and "Fit". Foot pedals, MIDI and Flic can learn 29 actions, not just page turns. MIDI now works on iPhone, iPad and Android, and iPad can send and receive MIDI over WiFi. Strofa Foto: start a session before you go on stage, and the tablet takes photos now and then while you play. Large PDFs now open at any size. A sideways swipe always goes to the next song; up and down moves within the sheet. Fixed 15 guitar shapes that showed the wrong chord, including Gm, F, F#, Fm and G#m — every shape has been checked note by note. Settings have a new look, and the ChordPro command bar above the keyboard now works on Android too.

Strofa Photo. Start a session before you go on stage and your iPad takes photos now and then while you play — at random, and when you change song. The photos stay on your device, grouped by gig, and can be given a look afterwards: 1920s jazz, noir, 80s, rock, film or sepia. The best shots happen when you least expect them. Blank sheet. Create a song that is simply an empty sheet you draw on — chords, sketches, whatever you need. The sheet grows downwards as you fill it, and the paper follows your theme. The default pen turns white on dark paper and black on light, while the coloured pens stay as they are. Foot pedals do far more. Pedals, MIDI controllers and Flic buttons can now learn 29 actions instead of just page turns: jump to the next section of the song, start or stop auto-scroll separately, adjust scroll speed and text size, transpose, play the backing track, toggle the metronome, notes, drawing mode or recording — or take a photo. The basic actions stay up front; the rest are one tap away. Text size you can read. Each song now has a single percentage with a slider, A− / A+ and a Fit button, instead of a step counter that never told you how large the text actually was. In fullscreen, A− and A+ are large enough to hit without looking away from the music. New look for Settings. Content is grouped into cards, and the back button and home icon sit in exactly the same place on every page. On iPad the cards sit side by side instead of stretching across the full width. Chord appearance. Choose the colour of the chord symbols and whether chords and section titles are bold. Comments now follow the ChordPro standard, so {ci:} is italic and {cb:} gets a box. Also in this release: a new transpose wheel with your own key at the top, the circle of fifths as a built-in reference, chord charts in notes, MIDI foot pedals on Android, and network MIDI over WiFi on iPad.

What's New in 1.2.4: • Drawing editor: a new select/move tool (dashed square). Tap a stroke you've drawn — on chord sheets, PDFs and Word documents — and drag it into place. A small four-way handle appears next to the stroke so you can position it precisely without your finger covering it. Tap the trash icon to delete the selected stroke. • Long-press a pen color to choose stroke thickness and opacity. • Nashville numbers and Roman numerals: show chords as scale degrees (1 2 3 or I ii V). Requires the song to have a key. Enable in Settings → Display. • Capo shapes: capo now shows as a "Capo N" badge in the toolbar. Tap it (or enable in Settings → Display) to show the chord shapes you actually play with the capo on. • Simple key picker: open transpose and tap the key button to choose the key you want to play in — the app transposes there without you thinking in semitones. • The song title now shows discreetly at the top in clean full screen — reassurance on stage when the pedal changes song. • Setlist navigation: when you open a song from a setlist, the foot pedal and the ‹ › arrows now keep following that setlist. Swipe left or right on the chord sheet to move to the next or previous song — handy when your hands or feet are busy. • Band setlists: switch between "Band songs" and "My songs" when adding. Adding one of your own songs copies it into the band's library, so the whole band gets both the song and the setlist. • Set a default text size in Settings → Display → Font. A− / A+ still fine-tunes per song. • The song library in the sidebar now remembers and centers the selected song automatically, and slides in and out more smoothly. • Fixed: SongBook Pro import could read the key incorrectly (a song in D imported as F). The correct key is now set.

Merge and update songs — got a better version, or accidental duplicates? Select two songs and merge them, or update an existing song from another, choosing which fields to bring over. The song you keep holds onto its place in setlists, recordings and statistics. Find duplicates — spot songs with the same title and merge them in a couple of taps. Detect key — a button in the editor that works out the key from the chords when it’s missing or wrong. Structure and clean songs — a guided queue turns loosely-formatted songs into clear verse/chorus structure (review each, or do them all at once), and a Clean button strips everything except chords, lyrics and sections. Preview before you apply. FaceTime for your band — add a FaceTime link and jump into a video call from Strofa; great for rehearsing or teaching remotely. Smarter setlists and reports — the AI setlist builder now weighs your play history to favor crowd-pleasers and revive dormant songs, and Report gives a plain-language AI summary of what you’ve played. Auto-tagging and a structure strip — tag your whole repertoire at once, and jump between sections with a color-coded strip. Richer backups — now covering band songs and setlists, gigs, venues, annotations and notes. Restore lets you browse a backup, preview a song, and pick exactly what to bring back — even into a different band. Booking support! Plus various fixes and refinements.

Public artist page — now with ready-made design templates. Pick a look that fits your band, from jazz and synth to metal, country, disco, classical, folk and dance-band. Each page shows your tagline, an “About us” section, a searchable repertoire, upcoming gigs and links to your social media. Let Strofa write it for you. Enter your line-up and the app drafts your tagline and “About us” — then automatically translates them to all five languages (English, Norwegian, German, French, Spanish). Rewrite the text yourself and tap translate to bring the other languages along. Privacy first — only public gigs appear on the artist page; private bookings stay hidden. Double-tap for full screen now centers the lyrics on wide screens (iPad), so they’re easier to read at a distance. The chords/lyrics toggle is now in the toolbar (and can be added or removed under “Customize toolbar”), with a clearer icon. Refinements: chord-split words no longer show a gap mid-word, a more consistent back button in import, and better matches when importing chords from the web.

Metronome on the front page — tap to start/stop, long-press for tap-tempo. The chosen tempo is remembered across songs and app restarts. Beat flash in the header and home indicator bar. ChordPro section colors now adapt automatically to light and dark themes. Automatic iCloud backup: enable under Settings → Advanced.

Virtual MIDI port — Strofa now appears as a MIDI source in other apps. Connect to Mixing Station and control your mixer automatically when switching songs. Roman numerals — choose between off / 1 2 3 / I ii V in Settings > Display. Jazz-standard notation with major/minor distinction. "Rate us" added under Settings > About.
