Getting started with a Homestream subscription takes seconds. Much like depositing a check with a phone, a fan points their phone at the TV while watching a game, and Homestream recognizes exactly where they are in the game and seamlessly syncs their school's radio broadcast to the picture. Fans can send the call to a Bluetooth speaker and hear their hometown
announcers with enhanced fidelity, if they choose.
The app leverages real-time data feeds and advanced, proprietary audio recognition technology to detect and maintain synchronization throughout the game, ensuring a seamless listening and viewing experience. Additionally, Homestream includes OCR-powered image recognition that allows users to capture a photo of a TV scoreboard. The app extracts key game information - such as teams, score, game clock, and matchup details - to automatically identify and locate the correct live stream, making it quick and easy for fans to start listening to their preferred broadcast.
We used Homestream to listen to the Learfield broadcast while watching the 9/5 Duke vs Tulane football game, and it worked very well. How wonderful to hear David Shumate instead of the TV announcers! Homestream is very easy to use. Within the app, you merely point your phone at the ‘Scoreboard’ at the bottom of the TV screen, and Homestream does the rest. We were perfectly in sync. They do allow for manual adjustment, but it was not needed. We can’t wait to use it for Basketball games!!

Finally a solution to listen to Hometown Announcers

Finally there is a way to listen to my team’s hometown announcers while watching the game. This is a great app and synced perfectly with the action on the TV. Why did it take till 2026 for someone to think of this? Can’t wait for them to add more of my teams!
