Sun Schedule Compare saved windows for modeled direct sun during a specific date and daytime block instead of relying only on annual averages. 1. Open Compare and tap Sun schedule. 2. Choose a date, start and end hour, and whether to rank for more or less direct sun. 3. Compare the saved windows and share the time-block report. Times use each window’s local clock and exclude the end hour. The five-minute vertical-window model uses saved facing direction and horizon obstructions. It does not measure indoor brightness, glare, heat, weather or plant growth. Glass and unsaved obstacles affect actual light. Zero modeled direct sun does not mean darkness.

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, plus small display fixes. iPhone is unchanged.

Month-by-month sun chart - every window detail page now shows a 12-bar chart (Jan-Dec) of daily-average direct-sun hours, so you can see exactly when the shoulder months hit and plan plant moves accordingly. The best and worst month are highlighted and the annual swing is calculated. Golden hour bands - if "Highlight golden hour" is on in Settings, the sun arc chart now shades the 60 minutes after sunrise and before sunset in amber, showing the soft warm light that's ideal for portrait photography and for hardening-off sun-sensitive plants. Expanded plant database - 51 plants total (up from 43). Eight new species: Pilea (Pilea peperomioides), Calathea Medallion, Alocasia Polly, String of Hearts, Bird's Nest Fern, Neon Pothos, Fishbone Prayer Plant (Ctenanthe), and Iron Cross Oxalis - all with scientifically-grounded light-tolerance ranges. Richer share report - the text export now includes the full month-by-month table with peak and lowest months marked, plus the annual light swing, so the report you forward to a landlord or plant friend is fully self-contained.

Plant Finder — tap any plant from the 45-plant database to see which of your windows are a match, ranked by daily sun hours. No more guessing which window to try. Grow-light supplement guide — for dim windows (grades C, D, F), Sungrade calculates how many hours of supplemental 6500K grow light per day can close the gap for specific plants (based on University of Minnesota Extension guidelines). Day picker — tap any day in the 7-day strip under the sun-arc chart to see the sun's exact path for past or future days. Window Compare tab — a new tab ranks all your windows side by side with a seasonal table showing winter/spring/summer/fall averages. Pro Light Planner (rebuilt with real data) — seasonal placement guide, live window rankings, and grow-light planner all drawn from your actual measured grades, replacing previous placeholder content. Expanded plant database — 45 plants (up from 27), each with a daily direct-sun tolerance range so the grow-light calculations are accurate.
