ResQMesh

Radio mesh for emergencies

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

ResQMesh now speaks Italian: the app follows the language of your iPhone. Messages, positions and ALERTs over LoRa, for your team, where there is no network coverage. ResQMesh lets a team keep in touch where there is no mobile coverage. Your iPhone connects over Bluetooth to a small LoRa radio board, and the boards pass messages, positions and ALERTs from one to another, building a mesh with no network, no SIM and no Internet. THE ALERT Hold the ALERT button for three seconds: your position goes to every board on the mesh, and your board repeats it until another board confirms it. You see who confirmed, and the others see where you are, with distance and direction. The ALERT is always free: you can send it, receive it and confirm it without a licence. It can also start from the Action button, from Shortcuts and from the Apple Watch. FREE, WITHOUT A LICENCE - The ALERT, sent, received and confirmed - APRS on 433 MHz: beacons, APRS messages and the stations your board hears, also on the map WITH THE YEARLY LICENCE - Channels and private chats, with delivery confirmation and ready replies - The team on the map and in the network list, with how each board was heard - The network profile as a QR code: the whole team on the same radio settings in a few seconds - The channel check, to choose a quiet frequency before going out - LoRa APRS stations around you from the Internet - Apple Watch, CarPlay and Siri: read and send messages, follow an ALERT MADE FOR THE FIELD - Works with the phone locked: notifications, Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island - Widgets for the board, active ALERTs and unread messages - History synchronised with iCloud between your devices - The user guide is inside the app and can be read with no network - English and Italian, following the language of your iPhone - Try it without a board: the demo board shows the whole app with simulated traffic THE BOARDS ResQMesh runs on Heltec Wireless Tracker, LilyGO T-Deck Plus, LilyGO T-Echo Plus and SenseCAP T1000-E boards with the ResQMesh firmware, free from railab.com. On 433 MHz an amateur radio licence is needed; 868 MHz is licence-free. BEFORE YOU RELY ON IT ResQMesh is a support to communications, not an emergency service. In an emergency call 112 or your local emergency number first. Messages, positions and ALERTs depend on radio range, terrain, batteries and on other boards being in range and switched on. ResQMesh is made by Railab Srl, Brescia, Italy. Licence: the yearly subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel it in the App Store account settings. - ResQMesh is now in Italian too: the app follows the language of your iPhone (Settings → Language). Ready replies go out in the language of the phone. - Help inside the app (Settings → Help): the user guide in pages, with search, readable with no network. - New board firmware 2.0.15 on railab.com: an ALERT confirmed by your own board now shows as confirmed on the iPhone, the Apple Watch and the widgets. The app tells you when your board needs the update. - Apple Watch: an ALERT makes the watch vibrate once, not again at every reconnection. - More reliable reconnection to the board: no more empty board screen when the link comes back. - With Bluetooth switched off or in airplane mode the app now leaves the board and connects again when Bluetooth comes back; Disconnect works with Bluetooth off too. - Board settings: after switching to APRS only, the frequency shown is the one the board really uses. - Chat: the title now scrolls like in the other tabs. - APRS stations on the map: the card now reads what a station sends with its position. Weather stations show temperature, humidity, pressure, wind, gusts and rain; vehicles show direction and speed; every station shows altitude, power and antenna, and range. The rest of the comment stays below, without the coded data. - Board firmware: the notice at connection now appears only when the firmware is too old for the app. When a newer firmware is simply available, a quiet line in Settings says so.
