See your financial independence number, how far along you are, and when you'll get there: Lean, regular, Fat and Coast FIRE, each with its own date. Tap any of them to see how the number is worked out and how much sooner a little more each month gets you there. Find it under Plan. Bills on the right day. With "Show at start of month" on, bills still count in your budget from the 1st, but they now come off your account balance on their actual due date instead of all at once on the 1st. Weekly and fortnightly bills now post in this mode too. Easier iCloud Sync. New installs now keep a private copy in your own iCloud from the start, so your data is backed up and appears on your other devices. Already using the app? Turn it on in Settings on each device you use, then fully close and reopen the app. If iCloud Sync can't start (not signed in, iCloud off for Simple Finance, or iCloud storage full), the app now tells you right away what to check, instead of only in Settings. Retirement planner. A spouse with little or no work record now gets the US spousal Social Security benefit, and retirement or brokerage accounts you've entered as a balance now grow in your net worth projection instead of sitting flat. Ask me first. Choose a recurring bill or income to ask before it posts, so a changed amount never slips through. Log Now is no longer silent. Loan details for every loan. Auto, student, personal and business loans get the same dashboard as a mortgage: payoff date, interest to go and a payment day. Split Loan Payment keeps your real interest and principal, and a new setting in Transaction Settings can count the whole payment in your budget. Tags and groups. Tag any transaction a need, a want or an impulse buy and see your spending by tag, or put a trip, event or project in a group with its own budget. Long-press a transaction and choose Tags & Group, or open Tags & Groups from the Transactions menu. Leave things out of net worth. Switch off "Count in net worth" from the menu of any account or crypto holding to keep it out of your totals. Search your messages. Find a word in any conversation from the Sharing page, then tap a result to land right on it. Search inside one chat from its menu. Investments. Auto-invest purchases and share changes on holdings with tax lots now stick, and changing a coin's symbol prices the new coin. Fixes: logging a mortgage bill by hand pays the loan down too, re-splitting a loan payment no longer adds the principal back twice, changing an account's currency updates its transactions, and two bills with the same name and amount no longer mark each other paid. Pay a card in one tap, split any charge, bills you can trust, and made for Australia, the UK, Canada and India. Pay a credit card in one tap. Every card has Record a Payment, set up for what's left on your statement. Payments by transfer now show on the card, a paid statement says so, and you won't be reminded about a bill you've paid. Split any transaction. Long-press any transaction, imported ones included, and choose Split Across Categories. Type one part and the rest fills itself in. Recurring items choose their account. Pick which account your salary goes into, which one a bill is paid from, and where a recurring transfer goes. Bills and cash flow you can trust. The forecast no longer counts a bill you've already paid, a bill you forgot stays owed, paying late or early marks the right month paid, and resuming a paused bill no longer back-fills the months it was paused. Search by amount. Type 44.97 to find that charge, or ask for "groceries over $100 last month." Cleaner imports. Bank statements come in with readable names like Shell, Amazon and Trader Joe's, with the bank's own words kept underneath. Your Apple Watch and widgets keep up on their own. What you add on your iPhone, Mac or your partner's phone reaches your watch face and widgets without opening the app. Goals. An Offset goal shows how much of your home loan your offset covers, and a net worth goal below zero now shows its real number, counting up from where you started. Your true return. Enter what you've contributed in total from your latest statement, and any investment or retirement account shows your return since the very start. See how much of this year's change was contributions and how much was growth, and log employer contributions in one tap. Australia: super with your concessional cap on the July to June year, take-home pay and tax with ATO rates, the Medicare levy and HECS-HELP, reports by financial year, and CommBank, ANZ, Westpac and NAB imports. United Kingdom: ISAs, workplace pensions and SIPPs on the tax year from 6 April, your £20,000 ISA allowance added up across every ISA, take-home pay with National Insurance and student loans (Scottish rates too), and Monzo, Starling, Revolut, Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds and Nationwide imports. Canada: TFSA, RRSP, FHSA and RESP with your contribution room across accounts, take-home pay for every province and territory except Quebec, and RBC, TD, Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC and Tangerine imports. Split it your way, tag anything, and see any month at a glance. Split a bill unevenly. $300 can be $100 for one person and $200 for another, and a bill split once stays split every month it repeats. Your account balance matches the bank, and anyone outside your household who still owes you their share is listed until they pay. See a month, a year, or any dates you choose. The transaction list filters by this month, last year, a named month or exact dates, with what came in, went out and the net for that period. Tag anything. Write #vacation or #wedding in a transaction's note and the tag works across categories. Tap it at the top of Transactions to see just those. Give every dollar a job. Budget shows how much of this month's income is left to assign. Debt Payoff has a What If card: choose an extra amount each month and see how much sooner you're debt-free and the interest it saves. Switching apps? Exports from YNAB, Rocket Money and Copilot import without remapping, with spending the right way round and tags carried over. Bills post on the day even when you haven't opened the app, and a bill that comes in higher than expected is pointed out. When a subscription's price goes up, it links straight to how to cancel. And you can track your credit score in Health Score by writing it down, with nothing pulled from a credit bureau. Find your accounts, bills and goals in Spotlight by name — no balances or amounts, and you can switch it off in Settings. Templates for the things you log all the time: pick one when you add a transaction, log one from the new Quick Log widget with a single tap, or from the Saved row on your Apple Watch, or from Shortcuts without opening the app. There's a Savings Goals widget, an Accounts page and a Goal complication on Apple Watch, and a Shortcuts action a Wallet automation can use to log Apple Pay purchases. Accounts in other currencies. Give an account a currency in its editor — euros, pounds, yen — and its balance and transactions show in that currency, while net worth, budgets and Fin's answers convert to your home currency at the day's rate. If a rate can't be fetched, the figure says so. Budget by envelopes if that's how you think. Turn on Envelope Budgeting and the budget headline becomes what's still to assign — aim for zero — with what's left to spend underneath, and each category carries its balance into next month like a real envelope. Know what's safe before payday. Once you have recurring income set up, Budget shows an Until payday card: this pay period's share of your monthly budget, less what you've spent and the bills still due before then. Ask Fin "how much can I spend until payday?" and you get the same number. Search in plain words. Type "amazon over $50 last quarter", "under 20 this month" or "income last year" into the transaction search and it understands the amount, the dates and the kind. A plain merchant name still works exactly as before. Quiet milestones. A quiet note when a debt reaches zero or your net worth passes a round number — once, never twice, and only for what happens from here on. Fin notices more. When a category is running well above its own three-month average, or the same charge has landed three months running without being set up as a bill, it says so — on the Home card and in the weekly tip, on your device. Subcategories, income, and a way to reach me. Break any category into subcategories — on the Mac now too — and income finally has categories of its own, with a ring that shows where it actually came from rather than one lump labelled "income". Stocks from every major exchange. Search a company by name and each result says which exchange it trades on — London, Frankfurt, Sydney, Toronto — and picking one files the ticker correctly, so you never need to know that a suffix exists. A price quoted in pounds or euros is converted before it reaches your net worth. Talk to the developer, from Help. It's a real conversation, not a form that disappears: send a picture, a voice note or a screen recording, circle the thing you mean, and the reply lands back in the same thread. It comes straight to me, and most of what's in this release started as somebody asking. A big one-off — a wedding, a new roof — now comes off the year's budget instead of wrecking one month's. Filter the transaction list by category, account, date or amount, and a split keeps what you typed if you leave it. A backup every day, and a way to put anything back that goes missing. Sharing was rebuilt around the people in it: faces first, the month as one ring, and every conversation underneath. Your household and every friend group have a chat, and money is something you can say in it — share a transaction or a live budget, ask for money back, and tap Settle up when it's paid. What's owed adds up under Between you. Goals you save toward together show who has put in what. Also: per-person sharing switches, so what your family sees and what a friend group sees are set separately; a Week in review each Monday; friend groups that end on their own after 7, 30 or 90 days; search inside a conversation; and a notification the moment someone writes, muted per conversation from its own menu.

Three of the app's deepest screens were Mac-only. They're on your iPhone and iPad now. • Financial Health — one 0–100 score built from your emergency fund, savings rate, debt load and net worth, each with a plain-English next step and a link to the screen that improves it. • Cash Flow Forecast — projects your spendable balance 30–90 days out from your recurring bills and income, and shows the lowest point it will hit. • Asset Allocation — set a target mix, see the drift, and get the exact buy/sell amounts to rebalance. Everything scales with your text size. Every figure, label and caption on these screens — and across the app — now follows Settings → Display & Text Size, instead of staying fixed at the default. Credit cards are more than a balance now. Open one from Net Worth and you get its credit line and how much of it you're using, the APR and what carrying a balance costs you each month, the day your statement closes and the day payment is due, and this month's charges and payments on that card. Your statement balance is tracked separately from your current balance, because only one of them avoids interest. Payment reminders come with your bill reminders. Also in this release: • Credit cards are real accounts you can point money at, and a charge now increases what you owe instead of decreasing it. • The cash flow calendar shows what lands on a day when you tap it, and marks when card payments are due. • Bills and recurring items read correctly when a repeat lands twice in one window. • Messages you send from inside the app can be replied to, and the reply comes back in the app. • A large amount of layout work so nothing truncates: figures scale instead of being cut, and labels wrap instead of losing their words.

Sharing with someone, done properly. • Combine your finances — one pass when you go full-share. Choose which accounts belong to the household, and decide the budget to keep where you both tracked the same category. • See who added what. Every shared transaction shows the person who added it, and the household split now has a column for each of you instead of one lump. • Keep things back. Hide a category, an account, a bill, an investment account, a mortgage, a retirement plan, a goal, or a single transaction. Anything you keep private is removed from their device on the next sync. • New to the app, but not to each other? If one of you has already entered years of history, you can now hand all of it across — and a month they already have is never counted twice. • Net-worth snapshots sync to your household. • Rename anyone in your household, and the name follows them onto every screen. ONE-TIME EXPENSES Saving for a wedding, a ring, a car? Plan it once and it stays out of your monthly budget — and you can log one you have already paid in a single save. REPORTS Report PDFs are real documents now, with selectable, searchable text instead of a picture of a screen. IMPORTING Spreadsheets (.xlsx) open directly, OFX files work on iPhone, and exports from European banks import at the right amounts. NOTIFICATIONS AND HAPTICS Bill reminders arrive spread out rather than a dozen in the same second, and the app is quieter — one buzz per action, and nothing announcing what is already on your screen. FIXES • Typing 4000 into an amount field could save $40.00. • The Budget tab left split transactions out of Spent, so it disagreed with Home, Trends and every report. • Charts no longer sit blank for a moment when a screen opens. • Mortgage interest showed "—" for people who really had paid it. • Faster taps and charts on Home, Budget and every drill-down. SOMEWHERE TO ASK • A help centre built into the app — 129 answers across 20 topics, 30 troubleshooting walk-throughs, and search that actually finds them. • Ask a question, report a problem or suggest an idea without leaving the app. • A real person answers, and the reply comes back inside the app under Help → Your messages. BILLS One screen for the month — what's paid, what's left, and every bill as a tile. Bills that repeat every two weeks now show every occurrence, not just the next one. INVESTMENTS A holding shows the share price with today's move beside it, the way a quote reads, and your position's value sits with the share count. IMPORTING AND RECONCILING • Pick the account before you import, not after — the picker leads the page now, and a new cash account tracks its balance from the start. • Set the account on hundreds of transactions at once, the same way you already set a category. • Filter transactions by account, so you can reconcile one account against its statement. NOW ON MORE IPHONES Simple Finance runs on iOS 18 and later. If the App Store told you your iPhone wasn't compatible, it is now.

Sharper numbers, and a few refinements from real use. Sharing, rebuilt — and finally safe to switch on. WHO SEES WHAT • Share different things with different people. A partner, family, a group of friends: each one only ever sees what you gave it. • Choose it line by line: net worth, income, the accounts behind it, investments, goals, bills, a six-month trend — or only the categories and bills you pick, one at a time. • Your business is never part of what you share. • Keep a category, an account, a goal or a single transaction private. Anything you make private is removed from their device, not just left out of the next update. • Tap anyone to see both sides at once — what they share with you, and what you share back. • Household or Mine on the Budget tab, so you can see your own spending against the household's budget. • Bills know who pays them, and the reminder says so. • Invites switch sync on by themselves, on both phones. • Give everyone a face: a Genmoji you made of them, an emoji, or a photo. FRIENDS — NEW • Compare only the numbers you choose: savings rate, budget used, no-spend days, net worth change, or real figures like income and the monthly total of any category. Lowest utility bill wins. • Every group has its own settings. Everything is off until you switch it on, and there is nothing behind those numbers to open. STOCKS • Charts you can scrub, from one day to all time, with key statistics and dividends. • A watchlist for tickers you don't own yet — search by company name when you don't know the symbol. • Every row draws today's move, split at the previous close. • Tax lots, extended-hours prices, and crypto charts with a cost basis. • Mutual funds say "at last NAV" instead of quoting a price they don't have. IPAD AND MAC • iPad's Stocks tab is built for the display: every account, holding, coin and watched ticker as its own card, with a chart big enough to read. • The Mac gains a business/personal switch, Friends, and attribution. APPLE WATCH • Stocks on your wrist: today's percent and what it moved, with sparklines and charts you can open. • Holdings of the same ticker across different accounts are one row, not three. • A refresh button for prices, and an option to blur your money while your wrist is down. WIDGETS • Lock Screen widgets, budget widgets that draw the rings, Control Centre controls, and a Live Activity for the work clock. • Log an expense from a widget without opening the app — and undo it. Demo Mode now shows all of this with live switches, so you can see exactly how sharing behaves before you ever turn it on. Plus dozens of corrections where two screens quoted different figures for the same thing, and a great deal of small polish.

A polish release — the whole app has been gone through screen by screen, and it shows. SHARPER NUMBERS Every figure now agrees with every other one. Tap a total anywhere and the detail behind it adds up to exactly what you tapped, in whatever month, scope or view you're in. SAFER TAPS Anything that removes something now asks first — and tells you what it takes with it, so nothing disappears by surprise. FIN KNOWS MORE, AND CAN ACT Fin handles far more of what you ask, from net worth to what's due next. It can also do the thing it just suggested: cover an overspend, or take you straight to the right screen. A BETTER RETIREMENT PLANNER Plans built from your real accounts now treat 401(k) and Roth money correctly, and the projections, comparisons and reports all tell the same story. REFINED THROUGHOUT Cleaner layouts on iPad, easier editing for stocks and holdings, better receipt scanning, and a lot of small touches that make the app quicker to read and quieter to use.

Version 2 — the biggest update since launch. RUN A BUSINESS FROM THE SAME APP Clients, jobs, estimates and invoices. Log work and parts as you do them, or start a timer and stop it when the job's done, then build the month's invoice in one tap. Standing charges, payment history, and a Schedule C summary with mileage at tax time.
