ClipRecall is a lightweight menu bar utility for recent clipboard items. Press Option+V, choose an item, and paste it back into the app you were using.

Private by default
What you copy never leaves your Mac. Regular history is kept in memory and is not saved after the app quits. Pinned items are stored locally and encrypted on your Mac. If you add a background image, a copy is stored in the app on your Mac without encryption. The app itself makes no network connections and has no network entitlement. The optional tip (an in-app purchase) is processed by Apple's App Store — the developer never receives your clipboard contents or personal data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, or cloud sync.
Paste with one keystroke
Pick an item and ClipRecall puts it back on your clipboard, ready to paste. The panel closes instantly and never steals focus from the app you are working in, so pressing Command-V drops the item right where you left off. Direct Paste is an optional, off-by-default extra that can paste for you automatically once you turn it on in System Settings and restart ClipRecall.
Make the panel yours
Choose from Terminal-inspired and other appearance presets, adjust background color, text color, background transparency, and blur, or add your own background image to the panel and the content preview. Keep the panel readable on your desktop.
Designed for one simple loop:
copy, press Option+V, choose, paste.
The only in-app purchase is an optional tip to support the developer — nothing is unlocked. No subscription. Requires macOS 14.0 or later.
