PhotoCore speaks seven languages. GERMAN, FRENCH, JAPANESE AND BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE They join Italian, English and Spanish on every surface of the app: interface, full Help, system prompts, reports, exports. The app follows your Mac's language, or you pick one in Settings > General, where the Language row is now a menu with flag and name. STORIES IN THE LANGUAGE YOU CHOOSE The story language is chosen in the composer, independent of the interface language: titles, captions, table of contents and colophon follow that choice. The local model gets instructions written for each language, so Stories titles and Constellation labels come out in the right language and the right form. SEARCH EXAMPLES FOR EVERY LANGUAGE The eighteen phrases under the field are written for each language: searches a user of that language would actually type, with the same recipes that work best with the model. EXTERNAL DRIVES AND HISTORY In the Entire indexed history and Reachable only scopes, Find similar now searches the whole index: copies of a photo that live on another drive show up in the results, with the offline mark when that drive is disconnected, and changing scope keeps the similarity search as such. If a drive is unplugged while indexing is still writing previews, PhotoCore counts the photos without a preview when you plug it back in and offers to generate them, with progress in the status bar. Quick Look, Open with, Reveal in Finder and the high-quality preview also work for photos on a drive other than the open folder. After I reconnected the drive or Find file, the state of the photos refreshes right away and the disconnected-drive sheet stops coming back on every double click. AND MORE With a language chosen manually in Settings, the AI analysis of the search phrase follows that language instead of the system language. Nothing changes for Italian, English or Spanish: same labels, same Help, same features.

EXPORT ALBUMS AS FOLDERS From your Apple Photos archive, albums become plain folders on a disk you choose: one per album, Photos folders as subfolders, photos in two albums in both. Inside each album, originals and edited versions, your call. Every file is written, read back and checked against the original's fingerprint; on the same APFS disk the copy is instant. Every export creates a new dated folder: nothing is ever overwritten, in Photos, in the archive or in a previous export. Pause and resume if you unplug the disk or quit the app. After updating the archive, you can number the files in album order. At the end, a report you can read in a browser and a manifest with every file and its outcome. WHY THIS BEST SHOT? In groups of similar shots, the star on the recommended photo is now clickable and explains in one or two lines why PhotoCore prefers it: sharper subject detail, less highlight clipping, better captured faces, higher visual score. Measured reasons only. If the top two are too close, it says so and sends you to Compare to decide yourself. Your Picks always win. The 1.9 scores do not change. SAVED SEARCHES Save the criteria and run it again whenever you like: from the bookmark button next to the field or from the new Search menu (cmd-F takes you to the field). Text, filters, sources, Picks and ranking are kept; every time you reopen it, the search runs again on the photos you have at that moment. A chip in the filter row shows its name; change a filter and "Modified" appears: update, save as new or revert. If a folder is on a disconnected disk, you can run it on the available sources. Rename, duplicate, delete; a deleted search comes back with cmd-Z. A FIRST LAUNCH THAT EXPLAINS Three steps: what stays on your Mac, what the local engine does, where your photos are. As soon as a folder is ready, a note under the field invites you to describe a photo you remember, once. Suggestions under the field can be hidden. Find, isolate, pick, export. And a guide that explains how. ISOLATE THE SELECTION Forty results and you want to work on twelve? Select them and press cmd-Return: the gallery shows only those. Inside, everything works as usual: filters, Picks, Compare, Quick Look. Select a subset and press cmd-Return again to narrow; Esc to exit. PICKS YOU CAN SEE In the gallery just press P (or the period). A Picks chip appears in the filter bar with the number in view: click it to see only those. In the isolation bar, "Mark all as Picks" saves your work in one go. EXPORT Copy the selected photos to a folder you choose, or save a CSV list with name, date, camera, location, quality and Pick. Copies are identical to the originals and nothing is ever overwritten. You see how many photos and how much space before starting. THE STAR IN THE METADATA Copies of your Picks get five stars (xmp:Rating), the ones Lightroom, Capture One and Bridge read. For JPEG, PNG and TIFF inside the file, without recompressing; for HEIC and RAW in an .xmp file next to the copy. Originals are left untouched: PhotoCore never modifies your photos. PHOTOCORE HELP From the Help menu or with cmd-?: eight sections on search, filters, indexing, Picks, shortcuts and privacy, in English, Italian and Spanish. In Settings, the "?" button opens the right page. SEARCH SUGGESTIONS With the field empty, your recent searches and six examples to try appear. Search settings now explain themselves: the threshold says "Balanced", "Precise", "Broad", and the maximum number of results says it's a ceiling, not a filter. FINDER TAGS From the context menu, add the "PhotoCore " Finder tag to photos: Picks show up in Finder and Spotlight without opening the app. Your own tags stay where they are. Compare your shots and pick the best one, without leaving PhotoCore. COMPARE Select two to four photos and open them side by side above your gallery. Zoom and pan are synced: zoom into a detail on one photo and the others follow. Double-click to switch between fit and actual size. Each pane shows the quality score computed from sharpness, exposure and faces. Press 1, 2, 3 or 4 to mark your pick: the star stays on the photo in the gallery too, and after a restart. FINDER-STYLE SELECTION Click selects, cmd-click adds or removes, shift-click takes the whole range. Cmd-A selects every visible photo, Esc clears the selection. Arrow keys move the selection and the grid scrolls to follow. SPACE BAR FOR QUICK LOOK Opens and closes the preview on the selected photo. Inside the preview, arrow keys browse the photos in the grid, and when you close it you are still where you got to. REVEAL IN FINDER, ALL OF THEM With several photos selected, Finder highlights every one of them, not just the first. The same goes for Share and Rename. RECENT FOLDERS You can now drop a folder from the recents list, even when its drive is disconnected. Photos already indexed stay searchable. FIXES Arrow keys in Quick Look now actually browse your photos. Better VoiceOver support in the gallery. Minor performance and stability improvements. Archive Apple Photos: your library, finally yours - A verified archive, not an export. PhotoCore copies the originals and current edits from your System Photo Library, verifies every file by reading it back from disk after writing, and organizes everything into folders by year and month. They're regular files: they open in Finder, with or without PhotoCore. Albums become open metadata, and each run ends with a report you can read in any browser. - It updates, without starting over. Later runs add only what's new: new photos, new edits (with previous versions kept alongside), renamed albums. Deleting in Apple Photos never touches your archive: those shots stay, marked "No longer in Photos · preserved in your archive". - Searchable even when unplugged. The archive joins your PhotoCore sources and indexes itself. In the sources menu it gets its own row with a status that's always clear: up to date, new items waiting, paused, or needing review. - iCloud, handled sensibly. Originals stored only in iCloud are downloaded through Apple Photos; if your Mac runs low on space, downloads pause on their own while everything else continues. PhotoCore never uploads anything: down only, never up. - Safety first. Pause and resume anytime — even after a restart; destinations are checked (exFAT warning, FAT32 and network drives declined); an archive created on another Mac is never touched by mistake. From the Semantic Bridge comes a vertical 9:16 film, ready for Instagram, Reels and TikTok: fade transitions, smart framing that finds faces and follows the rule of thirds, gentle zoom-in and zoom-out motion, up to 30 seconds. No captions, no numbers: just your photos, with true-to-life colors. * Craft story. Export your Constellation as an interactive web page in a single file: whoever receives it navigates the spheres exactly like you do. Title, subtitle and group names are all customizable; hovering over a group plays an animated preview; photos open full-screen and browse with arrow keys. Works even with archives on disconnected drives: thumbnails are always included. * Poster. The third kind of Story: a single elegant page with your photos arranged by color affinity — a stunning overview to print or share. A4 and A3 sizes, plus US Letter and US Tabloid for the US market; light, dark or paper theme; footer customizable with a click. More new features * Best Shot. A discreet little star marks the best shot in every group of similar photos: finding the right frame is no longer a hunt. * Faster, more precise search. Filters now work upstream, before ranking: more relevant results in less time. And you can search with **filters only**, typing nothing at all. * Smoother Phone Archive. When the import finishes, indexing starts on its own — with the exclusions you already set up front, so no second confirmation. And from the source's gear button you can inspect excluded photos and restore them one by one. * Stories made to measure. In about ten seconds you get a finished web page. - One self-contained file. It opens in any browser, on any phone, offline, forever. No link that expires, no login, no tracking. - Built entirely on your Mac. The photos never leave it. The file you share carries no EXIF and no GPS. - Share in one tap by AirDrop, Messages, Mail or WhatsApp. - Print-ready photo book. Export a PDF at 300 DPI in standard sizes (8x10, 12x12, A4, 21x21) and take it to any print shop. The printed book carries no PhotoCore branding. It is yours. - You stay in control. Archive from iPhone and Android PhotoCore now archives the photos and videos from any phone, not just iPhone. Connect the device over USB and PhotoCore recognizes it as its own source, with its own identity, status and history, exactly as it already does for iPhone. Two ecosystems, one flow. iPhone via ImageCaptureCore, Android in photo transfer (PTP) mode: the experience is identical. Pick the destination folder once and PhotoCore remembers it for that phone. It tells you what's missing before copying. The scan-first analysis compares the camera roll against what's already archived: "Already archived 98% · New 2%". You only copy what's actually new. Verified, not just copied. Every file is hash-compared after copying, proof that the byte on your disk is identical to the byte on your phone. If something doesn't match, the file is re-transferred automatically. Free up space without fear. Choose a folder outside iCloud and other clouds, archive, then delete from your phone with peace of mind. PhotoCore never deletes anything on the device, that choice stays yours. Disconnect your drive. Thanks to offline search and previews, you can find photos and videos even when the archive lives on a USB stick in a drawer. Improvements & fixes Steadier video preview. Your videos join the search. PhotoCore now indexes your short videos right alongside your photos — the same "just describe it" search, now for clips too. NEW IN 1.3 - Short videos, searchable. Type "cycling race in the mountains" or "birthday at the table" and PhotoCore finds the clip, not just the photo. It samples the video, understands each moment, and opens playback right at the second that matched your search — no scrubbing. - Faces in videos. This is the one nobody else does offline: PhotoCore looks through a video for faces, picks the clearest frames, and recognizes who's in it. Name someone once and they turn up in your videos too, @mentions and people filters included. All on your Mac, nothing uploaded. - Built to stay fast. Videos are indexed with smart limits so your library never bogs down: PhotoCore focuses on short clips and skips anything too long or too large, and a single slow file can't stall the rest. - Works offline like everything else. Video thumbnails, search results, and playback previews keep working when the drive or NAS is disconnected — same as your photos. Add a folder that mixes photos and videos, or just reindex a folder you already have, and your clips come right in. As always: no cloud, no uploads, no subscription. It all runs on your Mac.

Name someone once to find them instantly, mention them in text searches using @name, or filter your gallery by the exact number of people in the frame. This feature is entirely optional, runs locally on your Mac, and data can be wiped in a single click. • Smarter Network & NAS Indexing: We completely overhauled how the app handles slow external drives and network shares. Browsing, caching, and retrieving metadata from your NAS is now significantly smoother, preventing lag even with massive, deep-nested archives. • Resilient Indexing Resumption: If your computer goes to sleep, a drive disconnects, or indexing gets interrupted, PhotoCore now picks up exactly where it left off. No more restarting the process from scratch for large folders.

Version 1.1 introduces a native Map view to rediscover your photos by location and an on-device Quality filter with aesthetic scoring to instantly isolate your best frames and hide clutter.
