Archive from iPhone and Android PhotoCore now archives the photos and videos from any phone, not just iPhone. Connect the device over USB and PhotoCore recognizes it as its own source, with its own identity, status and history, exactly as it already does for iPhone. Two ecosystems, one flow. iPhone via ImageCaptureCore, Android in photo transfer (PTP) mode: the experience is identical. Pick the destination folder once and PhotoCore remembers it for that phone. It tells you what's missing before copying. The scan-first analysis compares the camera roll against what's already archived: "Already archived 98% · New 2%". You only copy what's actually new. Verified, not just copied. Every file is hash-compared after copying, proof that the byte on your disk is identical to the byte on your phone. If something doesn't match, the file is re-transferred automatically. Free up space without fear. Choose a folder outside iCloud and other clouds, archive, then delete from your phone with peace of mind. PhotoCore never deletes anything on the device, that choice stays yours. Your videos join the search. PhotoCore now indexes your short videos right alongside your photos — the same "just describe it" search, now for clips too. NEW IN 1.3 - Short videos, searchable. Type "cycling race in the mountains" or "birthday at the table" and PhotoCore finds the clip, not just the photo. It samples the video, understands each moment, and opens playback right at the second that matched your search — no scrubbing. - Faces in videos. This is the one nobody else does offline: PhotoCore looks through a video for faces, picks the clearest frames, and recognizes who's in it. Name someone once and they turn up in your videos too, @mentions and people filters included. All on your Mac, nothing uploaded. - Built to stay fast. Version 1.1 introduces a native Map view to rediscover your photos by location and an on-device Quality filter with aesthetic scoring to instantly isolate your best frames and hide clutter.
