Happening Nearby: when Live enters a new city, Passenger Seat looks up real events happening there over the next few days and reads a short heads-up after the current story, with links in the card. Choose how far ahead it looks in Settings. Voice Attitude: pick Straight, Playful, Sarcastic, or Savage in Settings under Story Style. The facts stay the same; the tone changes. The lock screen card once again shows when the next story is coming. Also in this version: Live stays steady after leaving the screen mid-cooldown, location callouts are more natural, narration avoids repeated or uncertain positioning, privacy and account controls are clearer, trial users can schedule a renewal reminder, and audio storage and account cleanup are more secure.

Live is more honest about what it is doing while you drive. The progress messages now tell you where things actually stand, and the reading screen waits until the voice is truly ready instead of saying it is reading before anything plays. The stay tuned reminder bows out after a few listens rather than repeating all trip. Fixed: highway names are spoken the way you say them, so I-15 is no longer read as Interstate One Fifteen. Fixed: a faint white line along the right edge of the app icon.

Your lock screen now shows what Passenger Seat is reading. Start Live and a card appears on your lock screen with the story that is playing, so you can see what you are hearing without unlocking. Tap once to rate it, or get directions to the place it just told you about. The reading screen is rebuilt. It shows the story's location on a map, how far away it is and which side of the road, and follows along as the narration plays. You can now share a route from Maps straight into Passenger Seat and plan a trip from it. Fixed: Live no longer tells you that you have used up your discoveries when you have not.
