Haze 2.1 has an array of bug fixes and improvements. Current conditions now come from a real weather station. In the US, the temperature, wind, humidity, pressure and dew point on the main screen are readings from the nearest reporting station rather than a forecast model. The page shows which station reported them and how far away it is. Fixed the temperature on the main screen not matching the hourly forecast below it. On a page that had been open or cached for a while this could be off by several degrees. Fixed the app switching to a saved city when it could not get your location. It now retries, and returns to your location on its own. Rain and snow amounts in the US now use the National Blend of Models, the same guidance behind the official forecast. Rain chances already did. The golden hour alert now checks the sky at golden hour rather than the sky at the time it is scheduled, so a cloudy morning no longer cancels a clear evening. Sunrise alerts can now be set to never arrive before a time you choose. Settings now shows which notifications are scheduled and when, with a button to send a test. The 72-hour trend chart marks and labels each day, so it is clear where one day ends and the next begins. Settings is reorganized by topic, and uses the app's own switches and pickers on iPhone instead of the system ones. As always, thanks for using Haze Weather!

Haze 2.0 is a new app from top to bottom. A full redesign. Every screen speaks in one editorial voice: garamond serifs, big numerals, hairline rules, glass, and room to breathe. In light and dark, day and night. Live radar. A precipitation map with a real timeline. Scrub back through the last 12 hours of observed radar, then ahead through the next 12 of forecast, with smooth playback throughout. Apple Watch. A full watch app and complications, set in the same serif style. Sunrise and sunset, forecast. Every sunrise and sunset gets a quality rating built from the cloud layers. The home screen carries both the next sunset and the next sunrise, and optional alerts announce when a beautiful one is on the way. Sharper accuracy. Current conditions are checked against real weather stations nearby, so rain overhead shows as rain. In the US, forecasts follow the National Blend of Models, the same calibrated guidance behind the official forecast, so highs, lows, and rain chances stay honest across all ten days. Notifications. Rain starting soon, severe weather advisories, a morning brief, and sun alerts. Each one optional, each set in Settings. And more.
