Proof: Lifting Log
Log your lifts, beat last time
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Proof is a lifting log for people who want a record, not a coach.
Most fitness apps tell you what to do. Proof measures what you did, every set, and shows you whether you beat last time.
WHAT IT DOES
- Log a set in two taps. Weight, reps, done.
- Every lift keeps its full history. Nothing is capped or hidden.
- Personal records are detected automatically and sealed the moment you hit them.
- A body map shows which muscles you have trained hard and which you have skipped.
- Patterns surface the honest stuff: your best day, your steadiest day, where you stall.
- A rest timer that runs in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
- No subscription. Pay once, keep it forever.
- No account. Nothing to sign up for.
- No cloud. Your training stays on your phone.
- No ads, no feed, no streak guilt.
FREE AND PAID
Log as much as you want for free, and the last 30 days are always open. A one-time unlock opens your full history, the body map over time, and every record back to day one.
Built by one person who lifts and wanted an honest instrument, not another coach.
Log your lifts. Beat last time.

Milestones. Your workouts now earn badges: workout counts, weeks in a row, sets logged, your first plates on a lift, and the total you’ve moved, measured in cars, elephants, and a 747. Find them under History.
Session insights. Progress now opens with a plain read of your latest workout, in the words of your goal: what moved, what held, and the three numbers behind it.
Drop sets. Swipe the set type in the logger to drop. Proof takes the weight down for you, set after set, with no rest timer in between.
Your week, recapped. A note drops in on Today with last week’s workouts, records, and badges. Tap it for the full story.
Also: edit the routine from the logger, warm-ups show as a simple W, one Default look for everyone, Body’s new layout on every skin, and a fix for records that were being called too early.
2.2.3 4h ago
Easier to read: new type and larger text. Two new looks, Midnight brass and Mono, plus a warmer Dark. Smarter lift insights that notice one more rep, a comeback after a rough session, and lighter weight for more reps. Widgets and more.

V1 of Proof Watch App
A new Today. Your week at a glance: how many muscles got 10 sets, your next workout in one card, and the Start button always in reach. Swipe the week to look back.
A new Progress. One clear answer at the top (Some gaps, Almost there, Locked in) and a ring for every muscle, so a gap can’t hide behind a strong one. Arrows show what’s rising and what’s slipping over your last 4 weeks. It works for all three goals: build muscle, get stronger, stay in shape.
A new lift page. Strength over time as a simple line you can tap, plus what your log actually shows: records, patterns and how your sets hold up.
Last time, right in the logger. Each set shows what you did on that set last time. Tap it to use those numbers, tap again to undo.
Three new looks. Olive, Gray light and Gray dark. The exercise drawings change to match.
Plus smoother swaps (similar lifts first), fixes for adding lifts mid-workout, and lots of polish.

A faster logger, a real start, and smarter numbers.
One-screen logger
• Log every lift from the workout list. Tap a lift, log your sets, tap Next. It's now the default (Settings can switch back).
• Your sets appear as chips on each lift, with records marked.
• Rest timer: tap the clock to turn it on or off, tap the time to change it.
A new first-time setup
• Pick your goal and see what it means for your targets.
• Tell Proof where you train (gym, home, garage, apartment, or no equipment) and it builds plans around your equipment.
• Choose from suggested plans, ask your own AI, type your own routine, or import from Strong or Hevy.
• Review every lift with its picture and target, and swap anything.
Your first week
• Progress, Body and History show your week and your plan from day one, plus what unlocks next.
• A lift's first set starts blank, so your first numbers are real.
Add lifts faster
• A full-screen lift picker with pictures, muscle filters and search.
Smarter numbers
• Records start after your second session of a lift, and small gains are kept apart from real records.
• Suggestions stay inside your goal's rep range and never change your numbers for you.
• Body's heat map uses one clear scale, from fewer sets to more.
Fixes
• A workout can no longer be filed twice.
• One-arm lifts count a left and right set as one set.
• Muscle mapping fixes for tricep extensions, leg press and others.

What's new in 2.1.8
Your goal shapes the app
Progress is rebuilt around your goal: sets per muscle area for building muscle, estimated max for getting stronger, training days for staying in shape.
Your workout list shows today's plan with a suggested weight. Tap the toggle to see what you did last time.
On Get stronger, each lift shows the top set to aim for, marked PR when hitting it would be a record.
The set screen opens at the suggested weight.
Exercise illustrations
More than 500 lifts now have their own drawing, with the muscles each one works.
Add lift suggests lifts from the library, each with its picture.
Don't like a picture? Change it, or report it from the large view.
Smarter imports
Lifts imported from Strong and Hevy are recognized even with gym brands and "(Machine)" in the name, so they get the right picture and muscles.

Proof now reads your history and tells you the next step for every lift.
• Clear next steps. Build reps, repeat this weight, one more time, or add weight. Each one comes from your own sessions at that weight, never from a single good day.
• Every record, named. Weight PR, rep PR, strength PR, or a volume PR. Proof says which, and what it was up from.
• Second sets count. When your top set and the set after it both improve, Proof says so. When the second set falls off, it waits before suggesting more weight.
• Live targets while you lift. "+1 to beat," "close to 12," or "try 145" on the set you're doing.
• History learns how you train. Your strongest day, your rhythm, whether rest days help, and when your records tend to arrive. Only when the data backs it up.
• Honest numbers. Records shows what you gained in the last 12 weeks, not all time. A lighter week is a lighter week, never a bad one.
• Bodyweight lifts progress by reps, and a day off is context, not a verdict.
2.1.5 Sep 25
Proof now reads where each lift is headed, not just your PRs.
Open any lift and Proof tells you the one clear next step: add a rep, repeat this weight, add weight, hold steady, or back off and rebuild. It reads your real trajectory across sessions, how hard your sets landed, whether you're climbing or stalled, so the call fits the lift in front of you.
A few things it now gets right:
A new heaviest weight is treated as progress, never a plateau.
The suggested jump matches your equipment, learned from your own history, so a machine that moves in 10s won't be told to add 5.
New lifts say how many more sessions until it can read your trend, instead of guessing.
Still no coaching and no nagging. It names what's happening and leaves the next move to you.
2.1.4 Sep 11
A fresh look. The accent color moved from gold to a deep wax red, with a new app icon and launch screen to match.
Warm-up sets now remember their own weight and reps, separate from your working sets. Toggle warm-up on and it drops to your usual warm-up numbers.
The set list is easier to scan. Clean columns, clear PR and warm-up markers, and edit or delete now tucked behind a menu.
The Body screen reads cleaner, with softer muscle outlines and consistent, monochrome readouts.
History is tidier. Your patterns now lead with "Your Typical Week," and how your pace is trending shows up as an insight.
Plus smaller polish, including the rest-timer in the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen.
2.1.3 Sep 9
Edit any past session: date, weights, reps, delete or add a set. All editing in one place now.
Add-lift suggestions so your records stay linked to the right lift.
A richer weekly recap on your home screen: weight moved, sessions, and a nod when it is your best week yet.
Plus a date-picker fix on iPhone and smaller polish.
2.1.2 Sep 2
This update improves stability and fixes an issue some users ran into. Thanks for the reports.
2.1.1 Aug 29
Proof 2.1 adds three things you asked for:
Warm-up sets. Mark a set as a warm-up and it stays out of your numbers. It won't touch your PRs, records, or averages.
Log a past day. Forgot to log a workout? Tap a past day on the Briefing and add it after the fact.
Edit your routine. Reorder days, swap lifts, and change your split without starting over.
Plus a round of reliability work under the hood so your data stays put. As always: no account, no subscription, no ads.

- A warm new light theme, alongside the original dark.

Same one-time unlock. Still no subscription, no account, no ads.
2.0 Aug 19
Iron Log 1.4
- Body map: every muscle you train, lit gold on a dark figure. It shimmers to life each time you open it.
- The Reel: your full record archive, every PR ever, as a gold timeline of sealed entries.
- Moments: hit a PR and the app marks it with a card you can share.
- Your First Week: after seven days, we lay out your baseline. Now there is something to beat.
Still no accounts. Still on your device.
1.4 Aug 14
Redesigned onboarding, smarter lift icons, and light-mode fixes.
1.3.1 Aug 12
Iron Log 1.3 is a full redesign.
The app that logged your lifts now shows you your progress. Every set you record builds a running picture of your records, so you always know the number to beat.
New in this version:
A cleaner, faster look on every screen, in dark and light.
Records that track your personal bests and how close you are to breaking them.
A first-session view that shows what you are about to do, instead of a wall of zeros.
A rebuilt logging screen with the controls right where your thumb sits.
Records now rank by estimated one-rep max, so a strong set at higher reps can count as a record. A few of your past bests may shift to reflect this.
Whatever you lift today becomes the number to beat.
1.3 Aug 11
The Dynamic Island, done right.
The Island and Lock Screen now stay perfectly in step with the app. Adjust the weight, reps, or lift in either place and it updates everywhere at once, one timer, one source of truth.
Redesigned Island header puts your lift front and center, no more cut-off names.
Smarter records: set a PR by lifting heavier, or by matching the weight for more reps. Iron Log spots it and logs it automatically, and always shows the number you're chasing.
Start where you left off: every lift opens at your PR, so you never re-enter your best.
Keep a lift in your day so you stop re-adding it every session.
Clearer backups: export now opens the share sheet, so you always know where your file lands.
1.2 Aug 7
Control your rest set straight from the Dynamic Island. Nudge the weight, dial the reps, and strike the set without ever opening the app. Plus sharper lift history and a batch of new exercise icons.
