Deep Study Bible Commentary
Strong's, Sermon Notes, Groups
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Most Bible apps hand you the text and stop there.
Deep Study Bible Commentary puts the commentary right beside the verse — and then lets you go underneath it. Tap any word in the Berean Study Bible and the Strong's entry opens: the Greek or Hebrew lexeme, the definition, and every other place in Scripture the same word is used. That is the whole idea. Read the verse. Read what it means. Read what it says in the language it was written in. Without leaving the chapter.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Read with commentary open
Matthew Henry (Concise and Complete), Adam Clarke, Barnes' Notes, Wesley's Notes and Scofield's Reference Notes, verse by verse, in a pane next to the text instead of buried three taps away.
Go to the original languages
Strong's-tagged Berean Study Bible, full Greek and Hebrew lexicon, concordance lookup and a word study popup. Tap a word, see everywhere else it appears.
Put translations side by side
Seven translations download for offline reading — KJV, ASV, ERV, WEB, YLT, AKJV and the Berean Study Bible. Compare them in a swipe, or open two at once on a tablet. More translations are on the way.
Follow the cross-references
Treasury of Scripture Knowledge cross-references are live links. Tap one and it takes you there and centers the verse — anywhere in the app, including inside your own notes.
Study on a real canvas
On iPad, web and desktop you can open up to three synchronized panes at once — Scripture, commentary, cross-references, lexicon, bookmarks or your journal — and resize them. It is the closest thing to a desk covered in open books that fits in a bag.
Keep a journal that knows what a verse is
Record a voice memo while you keep reading — the recorder stays live and minimizes to a floating pill. It transcribes afterward. Type a reference anywhere in an entry and it becomes a tappable link. Attach photos, video and audio. Tag entries, mark prayers answered, and search inside a single entry.
Preach and teach from it
Minister Mode is hands-free. Say "second Corinthians five seventeen" and the reader goes there, the screen stays awake, and the app quietly builds a timestamped log of every passage you turned to — so your sermon notes write themselves while you're speaking.
Study with your group
Share journal entries with a home group, set view or edit access, and revoke it whenever you want.
Take it offline
Translations and commentaries download as modular packs. Everything you've downloaded works with no signal — on a plane, on a mission trip, in a basement.
Pick up where you left off
Highlights, bookmarks, verse notes and journal entries sync across your devices. Start on your phone, finish on your iPad.
Make it yours
Multiple themes, font families and sizes, highlighter colors, adjustable auto-hide timing, and home-screen widgets for the day's verse, your streak and a one-tap journal entry.
ON EVERY SCREEN YOU OWN
iPhone, iPad, the web, and a real desktop app for Mac. One account, one library, everywhere.
FREE TO START
The Bible, all six classic commentaries, Strong's, the concordance, cross-references and your journal are free. No account required to read.
