1.5.1 Update - I fixed a masking gap in the feature for choosing who stays visible. Garim now uses the entire unfolded screen of iPhone Duo, and the record of videos you have already paid for has been strengthened. ■ Choose who stays visible · I found a bug where, after masking everyone and choosing a person to show, another person whose face overlapped the chosen person was also left unmasked. I fixed it so that only the person you choose is shown and any overlapping face stays masked. · If you saved videos with this feature where several people were close together, please check them once more. ■ iPhone Duo · Using the full unfolded screen, which I mentioned in the last update, is now in place. The black bands above and beside the inner screen are gone. · When iPhone Duo is partially open and standing, the screen is now split on either side of the fold, so videos, progress and buttons no longer sit across the folding area. · Refined the layout of the home and result screens, and how buttons appear in the toolbar on the side, to suit the iPhone Duo screens. ■ Credits · A video you have already paid for does not use another credit when you save it again. I found a bug that kept this record for only about the 200 most recent videos, and fixed it so the same device now remembers up to 10,000 videos. I apologize for the inconvenience. 1.4.2 Update - This update makes saving more reliable and brings the in-app explanations and the store description up to date with Garim as it is today. ■ Saving · Improved the saving process so that, when you save a video with sound, the picture and sound are written in a single pass. · Reinforced the saving procedure so that credit use and the saved result never fall out of step. · Temporary files left over from earlier jobs are now cleaned up automatically when the app starts, saving storage space. ■ iPhone Duo · Fixed the guidance text below the photo being cut off when using the inner screen in portrait. · Using the full unfolded screen, which I mentioned in the last update, could not be included this time because Apple’s new developer tools have not been officially released yet. It is planned as soon as the tools are released. ■ Updated explanations · Updated the “How the app works” explanation in Settings › Help to match the current features and button names. · Remade the App Store screenshots and description to match the current screens. 1.4.1 Update - This update brings proper support for HDR photos and videos and corrects the credit and masking quality problems that caused you inconvenience. ■ HDR photo and video support · HDR videos and photos taken on iPhone keep their original brightness and color even after masking. Fixed an issue where results looked hazy or dull. · For HDR photos, brightness information is newly generated to match the masked result before saving, so the original does not show through the masked areas. · On some older devices that do not support 10-bit HEVC recording, HDR videos are saved as standard videos. When memory is low, high-quality HDR photos may also be saved as standard photos. ■ Credits · Garim was originally designed so that the same video can be edited again for free as many times as you like, but I looked into this and found that HDR videos and slo-mo videos were not recognized as the same video, so credits were being used again. I have fixed this bug. I am sorry for the inconvenience. · However, due to a structural limitation on our side, HDR and slo-mo videos you edited before the update will use a credit once, the first time you edit them after the update. After that, you can edit them again for free as many times as you like. · When you import several videos at once, videos you have already paid for are marked separately as free. · Fixed an issue where the app wrongly said “No purchases to restore” when the internet connection dropped or you canceled sign-in during Restore Purchases. ■ Masking quality · Found and fixed an issue where the original showed through gaps in the mosaic on faces at the edge of a photo or in 48MP high-quality photos. · The yellow boxes on the review screen now match the size of the area that is actually masked. · Fixed an issue where a different scene appeared when you stopped after quickly scrubbing the timeline in the editor. ■ iPhone Duo · Refined the guidance text and button margins on the unfolded screen in landscape. · Using the full unfolded screen with no margins requires Apple’s new developer tools. This is planned for the next update, as soon as the tools are officially released. ■ Other fixes · Fixed long file names overflowing their cells in the processing record PDF. · Cleaned up text in several languages where button labels were cut off or item counts read awkwardly.
