The Romanian now speaks in one natural voice: words, phrases, examples, dialogues and every verb form — over 10,000 recordings, and all of it works offline. A word is spoken as you open it, and the right answer once you check. On silent it stays quiet, and you can turn it off in Profile. A quick session: shorter, mostly picking an answer. Choose Full or Quick on the Today card, which also shows how much of the session is new and how much is review.

Today's session: one button on Learn — about three minutes of grammar, word and phrase review, together with the next questions of your lesson. A new lesson starts with one paragraph, not a page of theory. The reminder now opens the session straight away.

The dictionary has nearly tripled — 1500 words in three levels of 500: core, everyday, confident. Nearly five times as many spoken example sentences. 304 verbs with full conjugation, reflexives among them: mă duc, m-am dus, să mă duc in every table. Under each lesson's theory, its own words — and the review starts with those. A locked lesson can now be opened before you buy it: see what it teaches and how many exercises it has, and buy right there. In the roleplay, the Next button no longer slips off the screen, and there is now a way out.

Thirteen more dialogues — twenty-five in all, now grouped by theme. The course starts with a one-minute trial lesson. Learn says where to begin, and the end of a lesson offers the next one. Fixed a crash when leaving a dialogue.

Progress now reaches iCloud as soon as you finish a lesson, not only when you close the app. The app has also started sending anonymous usage statistics and crash reports — no account, nothing that points back to you. Details in the privacy policy.

Your progress now moves from one device to the next. Start a lesson on the iPhone, carry on from the same place on the iPad. Lessons, streak, reviews, words and phrases — all where you left them. Sync runs on iCloud and is part of Vorbi Pro. Turn it on in Settings.

• Dialogues, and you say half the lines. Read a real conversation, check you followed it, then play it: the other person speaks, your turn arrives as its meaning in your own language, and the Romanian has to come from you. Tiles, keyboard or your own voice — you choose, and none of it is scored. A cafe, a neighbour, a taxi, the doctor, the pharmacy, a flat, the bank, a job interview. Twelve in all, three of them free. • Train your ear. A word is played and you pick which of two spellings it was: casă or casa, nas or naș, ban or bani — the endings where Romanian keeps its article, its gender and its plural. And dictation: hear a line, write it down, with missing diacritics forgiven. • Eight new lessons take the course from 18 to 26 — the past, the future, the subjunctive, reflexive verbs, the imperfect, the genitive-dative with al / a / ai / ale, "pe" before a person, and the order the short pronouns come in. • Every lesson now has its own practice set: 25 sets, 1000 sentence-building exercises. • Say it out loud. The microphone is on the phrases, on the dictionary examples and on your dialogue lines — the app shows which words came through and never marks you on them. • Grammar you have already done comes back on a schedule, instead of vanishing after one correct answer. • The dictionary grew by 43 words: the connective tissue a phrasebook never carries — a părea, a rămâne, adică, oricum, măcar, destul. 543 in all, and 13 more verbs with full conjugation. • Words and phrases are now asked for in the direction speaking needs: the meaning appears and you build the Romanian, instead of reading it and deciding you knew it. • Something forgotten five times over stops being treated as merely new — the card opens with everything already on it, because hiding the answer behind one more tap was theatre. • Something you really know now waits up to four months before coming back, rather than returning eleven times a year. • Reminders reworked: several wordings instead of one, laid down a week ahead, and they stop by themselves if you stop opening the app. Turning them on asks when your Romanian happens — after the morning coffee, on the way home — rather than for a time on a clock. • Fixed: the streak no longer breaks when the clocks change; a word typed without its diacritics is accepted and the spelling shown; tile boards no longer offer the diacritic twin of a letter the word already uses. Vorbi is built by one person who reads every message — questions or ideas are always welcome.

• The dictionary doubled — 500 Romanian words now, 100 of them free, still ordered by how useful a word actually is rather than alphabetically. • 68 verbs come with full conjugation tables, up from 28 — present, past, future and subjunctive, audio on every form, and the stem changes you cannot guess highlighted. • Widgets fixed — "phrase of the day" and "word of the day" were asking for a newer iOS by mistake, so most iPhones could not add them at all. They now install on iOS 17 and later. • Statistics have their own screen, opened from Учёба: current and best streak, lessons, accuracy, and a calendar of the days you actually practised. • An unfinished lesson now waits at the top of Учёба instead of having to be hunted down. • Stuck typing ă, â, î, ș or ț? When an answer is right except for its diacritics, Vorbi now explains how to add the Romanian keyboard. • Redesigned throughout for iOS 26, and answer colours are finally readable in dark mode.
