Find a course anywhere in the world. • Courses worldwide — Find Course used to see US courses only, so a course anywhere else had to be typed in by hand. It now searches three sources at once and shows you where each result came from. Search by name or use your current location; both work wherever you play. • A scorecard even when no database has one — if a course isn't in either course database, Golf Stats can build its card from the course's OpenStreetMap hole map: par, stroke index, and a measured length for every hole. There are no tee boxes in that data, so it says so — check the numbers against the course's own card. • Know before you pick — a course with no map location is marked in the results, since the Shot Map and hole strategy both need one. You can still score it; you'll just enter the card yourself.

Three fixes to how a round gets set up and mapped: • The next round starts with the course already filled in — "Add Round with … Yardage" now carries each hole's par and stroke (handicap) index along with the yardage, course, and tee. A second round on the same course no longer has to be set up by hand; scores and stats still start fresh. • The Shot Map shows your course, not the one next door — when your course had no holes mapped, the map could quietly draw a neighboring course's holes. Holes are now checked against your course's own boundary, and the map falls back to plain GPS framing when there's nothing mapped for your hole. • A heads-up before importing unreliable course data — a few courses arrive from the course database with their holes renumbered by length and pars that don't add up to the course par. Golf Stats now tells you when the tee you picked looks like one of them. It never blocks you: Import Anyway is right there, and every number can be corrected on the scorecard.

This update fixes two things golfers hit on the course: • Relief, recorded where you take it — mark relief on the ball that landed in trouble (a cart path, water, an unplayable spot…) instead of on the drop. The Shot Map keeps the real shot's line and distance into that spot, and no longer draws your hand-carry to the drop as if it were a shot. Existing rounds and shared files convert automatically — scores, penalties, and strokes gained don't change. • No more half-black screen — switching to another app and back could leave the bottom half of the screen dark and unresponsive (an iOS 26 quirk, most visible with the Shot Map open). Golf Stats now restores the screen the moment you return.

New: map your round shot by shot with the Shot Map, plays-like distances on the Shot Map. Flip the new per-hole toggle and Golf Stats adjusts each distance for elevation — uphill plays longer, downhill plays shorter, and the adjustment scales with the shot — so you see how far the shot really plays. Adjusted distances are marked with an up/down arrow and carry through to your club-distance summary, PDF export, and live followers. It's off by default and your choice on every hole.
