Siddur Pure Intention reads the Hebrew date and the prayer you opened, then shows what is said at that prayer today — and hides what is not.
Ya'aleh V'yavo on Rosh Chodesh, Al HaNissim on Chanukah and Purim, Mashiv HaRuach or Morid HaTal by season, Aneinu on fast days, Sefirat HaOmer, the psalm of the day, Tachanun or its omission. Whole sections follow the same rule: Hallel, Mussaf and Selichot appear on the days they belong to. When the answer is not certain, the printed halachic instruction stays on screen — the app does not guess on your behalf.
IT FOLLOWS THE PRAYER, NOT ONLY THE DATE
• Maariv rolls the Hebrew day forward, so on the eve of Rosh Chodesh it already shows Ya'aleh V'yavo, and on Motzaei Shabbat it shows Ata Chonantanu.
• Sefirat HaOmer is gated on the actual sunset, so someone counting during the day is shown the count they owe.
• Three switches change the text: with a minyan, in Israel or in the diaspora, and walled cities (Purim on 15 Adar).
FOUR NUSACHIM
Edot HaMizrach, Ashkenaz, Sefard and Chabad. Switch at any time and the whole book — including the rules — follows. This version covers weekdays and chol hamoed.

Fixed: the Hebrew date did not refresh until the app was closed and reopened. The date, the holiday and parsha line, the next zman and the highlighted prayer now roll over at midnight and refresh every time you return to the app.
