The last check before the folder leaves your Mac. Catch reject shots, hidden files, duplicate exports, and JPEGs too big to upload — before your client does.
The event is over. You have culled, you have exported, and now there is a folder that has to go to somebody else: an FTP server you were handed, a shared drive, a delivery link. Once it is uploaded, every mistake in it is theirs to find.
Photo Triager is the check you run first.
Point it at the folder. It walks every nested subdirectory and shows you what is actually in there.
DON'T SHIP YOUR REJECTS
Folders named ぼつ, ボツ, 没, reject, rejected, discard, or trash are found however deeply they are buried, and counted separately from your real totals. The keyword list is yours to edit, and one keyword covers longer names, so reject also catches rejected and rejects.
DON'T SHIP HIDDEN JUNK
macOS and sync tools leave hidden dotfiles scattered through export folders. They ride along into archives and uploads, and they make a delivery look careless. Photo Triager lists every one so you can clear them out first.
DON'T SHIP THE SAME PHOTO TWICE
Re-exports, repeated imports, and sync conflicts leave byte-identical copies behind. Photo Triager groups files by size, then compares SHA-256 checksums, so a match is a real duplicate and not a guess. Preview the images, choose the keeper, move the rest aside.
KNOW YOUR NUMBERS BEFORE YOU SEND
Totals by category, by file type, and by directory. JPG, JPEG, and Sony ARW are counted out of the box; add DNG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, CR2, NEF, and more. When the client expects 800 files and the folder holds 847, you find out now instead of afterwards.
MAKE IT FIT THE UPLOAD
Bring oversized JPG and JPEG files down to a target file size in MB, or to a target resolution in megapixels. Ask for 12 MP and a 24 MP camera file comes down to roughly half its pixel count, aspect ratio intact, as close under the target as the shape of the image allows. Resizing preserves image metadata, works in path order, and ends with a summary of every file that changed.
Nothing is resized until you pick it. The directory list starts empty and the button stays disabled until you choose; tick a folder and everything nested inside it comes along, so the whole tree is one click and a single shoot is another. It replaces the original file, so Photo Triager warns you before it starts.
SEE IT BEFORE IT MOVES
Nothing happens until you have looked at the list and chosen. Stray files and duplicate extras are moved to a holding folder you pick, rather than deleted outright. Long jobs show real progress and finish with a summary of what happened.

Photo Triager is not an editor, not a catalog, and not a Lightroom replacement. It will not find photos that merely look alike — duplicate detection is exact. It does one job: it tells you what is in the folder while there is still time to fix it.
