HOW IT WORKS
• Metadata check: reads Content Credentials (C2PA), XMP and AI-generator tags — an image that declares Firefly, FLUX, Stable Diffusion or another generator is flagged on the spot
• On-device AI models, trained on the visual fingerprints of AI image generators, handle everything else: screenshots, stripped metadata, re-saved files
• Standard scan: one fast model, unlimited
• Deep Scan: two models × six views each, plus a nine-region scan
• A clear call — Likely AI-generated, Likely real or Uncertain — and a “How we decided” card that shows which signal made it

A NOTE ON ACCURACY
AI-image detection is probabilistic — a signal, not proof. Results vary with editing, compression, screenshots and brand-new generators, and metadata can be stripped or faked. Videos are judged by their frames, so the newest AI video generators can slip through. When the signal is weak, Expose AI says “Uncertain” instead of guessing. Use it as one tool among several, never as the final word about a picture or a person.
*Measured on 12,627 test images: about 10% Uncertain with a Deep Scan vs 28% with a Standard scan.
SUBSCRIPTION
Expose AI Pro is offered as an auto-renewable weekly or annual subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The exact price and billing period are shown in the app before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store account settings.
