Interaktiv Tap now plays Traktor on Windows, and the FX units are instruments you play by touch. FIRST: UPDATE YOUR TRAKTOR SETTINGS The app asks once Traktor answers. Share from Settings, merge, and import in Traktor, once on every computer you use. The merged layout opens Traktor with full-size decks. WINDOWS • Play Traktor Pro 3 or 4 on a Windows 11 PC over the same USB cable, with the free Interaktiv Bridge from the Microsoft Store. • Setup asks Mac or Windows and follows the computer it finds. • On Windows the Traktor settings page opens on the PC over the cable. No Wi-Fi, no address to type. • When Traktor doesn't answer, setup shows a checklist — including that Traktor ignores MIDI while its audio device is missing. TRAKTOR PRO 3 AND IPAD MINI • Traktor Pro 3 works like Pro 4: all four deck types, full effect list, same setup. • Any iPad on iPadOS 18 or later plays the full surface, mini included. FX UNITS YOU PLAY BY TOUCH • Touch the pad and the effect switches on; lift and it's off. HOLD keeps it on hands-free. • Hold FX-UNIT: PREV and NEXT step through effects, SAVE and LOAD keep an effect's settings. Deck routing stays. • The A–D buttons now only choose which decks the unit plays on. • Two-finger hold FX-UNIT opens CHOOSE EFFECTS: one finger scrolls, two fingers reorder. • While a gesture loop plays, HOLD reads REV: tap it and the loop runs backward from the next beat. • A playing loop stops on the next beat, and halving or doubling carries on from the same point. • One-knob effects take the value where you touch. • Filter pads follow Traktor's DJM and BRJ buttons. • A collapsed FX unit keeps HOLD/REV, its two loop slots and SIZE under your fingers. DECKS • Hold PLAY with one finger: CUE and CUP while the deck is stopped, REV and FLX while it plays. A roll and REV together keep Flux Mode on; PLAY shows the flux arrow. • Hold LOOP on a playing deck and the hot cues become eight loop rolls, 1/32 to 4 beats: touch to roll, slide to change the size, lift and the track is where it would have been. Swipe down on LOOP to keep the rolls on screen, up to bring the hot cues back. Flux Mode off ends a held roll or REV. • While LOOP is held, the deck name becomes ← and →: tap to jump by the loop size, hold to keep moving. • A loop set from LOOP stays set with Flux Mode on. A loop shorter than a beat is a roll too. • Swipe a deck's name button toward the screen edge to go back to Home. • Delete a hot cue: hold the deck name, then hold the red DEL. • On an expanded deck, hold the page you're on, or KILLS on a Track deck, to reach the kills. • A phase bar over the deck name shows a playing deck drifting from the tempo master. • The active Mixer FX slot reads FLTR. • KEY: tap to step a semitone, two-finger tap to reset. Double-tap no longer resets it. • Double-tap SYNC to snap the deck's beat phase onto the master's. FREEZE • Now also brings back each FX unit's effect, HOLD and a reversed gesture loop, sending only what changed. • Leaves the Loop Recorder's size and recording alone. • A held loop roll freezes its deck: move KEY, VOL or the filter and they come back when the roll ends. TRAKTOR HOLDS THE STATE • A button lights when Traktor confirms it, so the iPad shows what Traktor is doing. With no computer, taps light nothing. • Beside BPM the header names what's in the way: NOT CONNECTED, NO TRAKTOR or NOT SYNCED. • Back in the app, it catches up with Traktor by itself. SYNC now only handles Traktor's clock. HINTS AND HEADER • Rest a finger on a control and the header names its hidden gestures. Settings → Show hints turns them off. • Touch the tempo strip and Traktor's clock takes charge, so the bend always lands. LOOP RECORDER • Hold SIZE for the next smaller and larger length. Changing the size clears the take. SMOOTHER AND STEADIER • The screen stays awake while the app runs. • Opening the app no longer stops other apps' music. • All four FX units stay smooth played at once. • VoiceOver reads the PLAY buttons.
