Fixes between App Store releases now reach every install, not just some. Nothing to do on your side: open the app as usual and improvements arrive. Also brings the speech library up to date

STATEMENT OF SHARED EXPENSES On a settle-up row, tap Statement to hand somebody a one-page PDF of what they owe: each shared expense and their share, payments already recorded, the balance due, and a QR code back to the group. Pro. INVITE LINKS THAT LAST Choose a week, a month or three months when you share an invite link. Reopening the sheet keeps the link you already sent. An Invite button now sits beside Balances, where the question comes up. SPLIT A RECEIPT DOWN TO THE ITEM A receipt you scan with Pro can now be split line by line instead of evenly across the whole bill. Each line carries its quantity, so two coffees on one row can go to two different people. SAY HOW MANY YOU HAD On a line bought more than once, each person says how many they took, instead of the row being broken into separate lines. Whatever nobody takes goes to whoever paid. FIX A LINE THE SCAN READ WRONG If the scanned lines do not add up to the bill, you can correct an amount or remove a line the receipt does not have. The breakdown unlocks again as soon as they match the total. GUESTS CAN PICK THEIR OWN LINES Send an invite link and the person can tick the items that were theirs from a web page, with no account and no app install. RECAPS A nudge when last week or last month is ready in Reports. It asks for nothing and reports on time that has already passed. Each recap has its own switch in Settings. GROUP NOTIFICATIONS A shared expense, a comment or a payment to confirm now reaches your phone, and tapping it opens that group. Mute them in Settings. The app asks for notification permission when you join your first group, not at sign in. ON THIS PHONE ONLY If your expenses have not reached your account in a while, the app tells you so you can back them up. The reminder to confirm your email now reaches the lock screen too. GESTURES Swipe back from anywhere on the screen, not just the edge. Swipe a transaction row to delete it, or hold it for Save as template. Flick left or right to change the month on every month picker. Scrolling dismisses the keyboard. Pinch to zoom a receipt. FIXES - A payment notification names the person instead of "someone". - A group whose owner left is no longer stuck. - Amounts read from a receipt no longer pick up a digit from the merchant's own name. - An amount you type with a currency symbol is read as that currency, not your own. - Deleting a category now syncs every affected transaction, not just the first. - An invite link says whose group it is before it adds you, and works when the app lock is on. - An invite link no longer offers you a seat in a group you are already in. - A settle-up row now says when you have already told someone you paid it, and confirming what they said settles that payment instead of recording a second one. - A payment ID on the settle-up row is shown only to the person paying, and only when they ask. - Re-opening an invite you have already accepted no longer says the spot belongs to somebody else. - Your monthly summary no longer goes missing on a fresh start (Pro). - Leaving the app while it is syncing is no longer reported as a sync error. - Groups with many members load faster. SECURITY The app lock slows down repeated wrong PIN attempts, and on the web your data is no longer selectable behind the lock screen.

Widgets: Safe to Spend on your home screen, so you can check it without opening the app. On iPhone it is on the lock screen too. Siri (iPhone): ask "what is my safe to spend" and hear the answer. Receipts: a failed scan now says why. Shares from Google Pay work again. Scan the same receipt twice and we ask "Add this again?" instead of adding a second row. Groups: import from Splitwise, comment on an expense, search by who paid or owes, export a group. Recurring rules can have an end date.

Version 2.1.0 is the biggest release since SpendSmart launched. Share expenses with people: -Create a group for a trip, a flat or a household and invite people with a link. Split a bill evenly, by amount, or line by line from a receipt - and everyone's share lands in their own ledger automatically, so budgets and reports stay correct without any extra work. Settle up whenever you're ready, and settled groups tuck themselves away. Log without typing: - Share a receipt straight into SpendSmart from your photos or any other app. - On iPhone, ask Siri or run a Shortcut to log an expense - or log one from a screenshot. - On Android, long-press the app icon to jump straight to adding. Money that behaves correctly - Recurring income - rent, a salary or a retainer, not only bills. - Save your own exchange rate for a currency pair, and every foreign entry uses it. - Your own categories, with your own icon and colour. - Repeat this - turn any entry into a recurring one right from the Add screen. Easier to find: -Tap a category in Reports to see the transactions behind the number. On a bigger screen: -A proper layout for desktop and iPad - a sidebar and two columns, instead of one stretched-out phone screen. Privacy: -With app lock switched on, your ledger no longer appears in the app switcher. Correct a payment you already recorded: -Recorded the wrong amount, or a payment that never actually happened? You can now amend it or take it back. A payment you claimed can be withdrawn; one you confirmed can be voided. Everyone's balance follows along, and the group's history keeps an honest record of what changed. Rename a group: -"Vacation" becomes "Vacation 2026". Trips get renamed, and now groups can be too. Invite links that expire: -An invite link used to work forever, which meant anyone who ever saw one could still join months later. Links now stop working after 7 days, and every screen that offers one says so. On your phone, tapping a link opens SpendSmart straight on the invite instead of taking you to the website first. Leaving, and coming back: -You can no longer leave a group while you still owe someone money - settle up first, so nobody is left chasing a balance that walked out. If you leave and later rejoin, you come back to the same seat, with your expenses and the group's history intact. Anyone removed for good cannot be added back by mistake. What "3 shared groups" actually means: -The free limit counts groups you START. Groups you are invited to have never counted towards it, and deleting one frees the slot. The app now says so, instead of a phrase that read like a cap on how many groups you could ever be in. Under the hood: - Performance and stability work throughout, plus a long list of fixes across syncing, currencies, reports and signing in. Version 2.1 is mostly about groups - and mostly about what happens when something needs changing.
