TrainReview: Workout Planner

The coach that shows its work

Plan it, log it, get the verdict. TrainReview reads every set you logged and shows the evidence behind each decision — nothing changes until you say so. TrainReview plans your training, watches what you actually do, and adjusts what comes next — showing its reasoning, with you making the final call. Finish a workout and the app compares every set you logged against what the plan asked for. It reaches a verdict on each exercise — Progress, Repeat, or Reduce — and shows the evidence behind it: your reps, your loads, how much you had left in reserve. Accept a decision and it becomes the target in your upcoming sessions. Nothing changes until you say so. Your first workout review is included, so you see what the app has to say before deciding whether to keep it reviewing. PLAN YOUR WAY Choose the amount of guidance that works for you: • Guided: answer a few questions and get a complete plan. Every goal — New to Training, Strength, Muscle Growth, Weight Loss, and General Fitness — is free to plan. Athlete Premium blends a second and third goal into one program balanced for all of them. • Build It Yourself: begin with a blank slate and take full control of training days, exercises, and progression. • Just Start Training: no plan yet. Pick exercises as you go, log your sets, and every finished workout is kept as a day of your plan. Seal the week, and TrainReview reviews the next one against it. All three paths live together in Your Plans, and every one of them feeds the same review loop. TRAIN WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS Follow today's workout and log your work set by set. Use the built-in rest timer, record left and right sides, run timed holds, skip or substitute exercises, and carry a substitution into the rest of your plan when it makes sense. SEE YOUR PROGRESS Trends built from the work you actually completed, never from a projected curve: working weights, session history, and estimated 1RM over time. Reopen any finished workout to see how it went, and explore exercises with muscle diagrams and clear equipment details. GO FURTHER WITH ATHLETE PREMIUM • Post-workout review grounded in what you actually completed • Next cycle written from what you lifted, with the evidence shown • Adaptive advanced plans • Multi-goal blending: one program balancing up to three goals • Estimated 1RM trends and longer-range analytics Guided plans for every goal, Build It Yourself plan authoring, workout logging, and training history remain available for free. There is no account to create: your training data stays on your device and can sync through your private iCloud account. Plan with intent. Train with focus. Progress from what you actually did. Timed holds start from your own hold, the review's meters wear the verdict, and a finished plan reads as a record. NEW • Timed holds find their own number: your first Plank, Dead Hang or Side Plank asks you to hold, and the time you found is what the review reads and what the next set asks for. A per-side hold has a dial for each side, and a timed first exposure can earn Progress. • The review's meters wear the verdict: on a first exposure or a day without targets, the reps, load and effort columns turn green for Repeat and Progress and amber for Reduce, the short set is marked in the trail, and the effort line names the set behind the answer. • A finished plan's day is its record: what you lifted against what was planned, the decision you accepted, and the date. A finished plan opens on its last week. • The seal ceremony says what a target is, and sets and reps edit right on the ceremony. • Heat is now Streak: the flame and its stages stay, and every surface counts weeks. IMPROVED • After a finding set the dock asks only what the reps leave open: 8–9 logs About right on its own, only 10 asks "Was that easy?", and under 8 or over 10 nothing is asked. • The review dock has no Ignore button; the two alternatives sit side by side. • When a plan finishes, the next-cycle sheet opens only when the week written from your lifts differs from the week as written; otherwise "Run it again" repeats it as written. On a repeat, your real lifts always win. • On a sealed plan, week one shows what was kept, and a routine that gains targets keeps the weeks it trained and lands on the next one. • Strength full-body plans: the light day is a lighter front squat at 80 % of the heavy day. Muscle Growth at three days trains Upper, Lower and Full Body, so legs train twice. • The three Train doors open their own screen, the guided preview's Goal row carries your goal's symbol, and a classic plan's blurb stays on the shelf instead of becoming your plan's description. • Adding exercises in an open session, one already on today shows a check instead of being added twice; the plan builder's step bar goes to icons at accessibility sizes. • Days are named by their position, so Train, the session, the ceremony and the plan builder agree on "Day 2" after a day is dropped, and a plan's "of N" is its declared length everywhere. • Exercise demo clips no longer pause your music or podcast. FIXED • A Premium blend could hang the guided preview; a goal change on the preview now settles, and a stale result shows an error instead of a blank. • A metric lifter on pound plates gets a loadable weight grid, and a set whose target you changed keeps its numbers straight in kilograms and pounds alike. • Redeeming an offer code grants Athlete Premium reliably. • The finder's 90-second rest can no longer be cancelled by a screen refresh, and a hold the dock captured survives one. • The session tour offers only notes that are on screen, the tip pill clears whatever the screen pins beneath it, the completion sheet names the day by its position, an unnamed plan reads "My plan", and error messages come in your language.
