Turn any photo into a printable 16-bit height map for UV printing, laser, CNC and 3D — on-device, private, with a live 3D preview. Heightmap turns any photo into a clean, printable height map — a 16-bit grayscale image where brightness equals height. Feed it to a UV printer, laser engraver, CNC router or 3D printer to produce tactile relief from a single image. HOW IT WORKS • Open a photo or drag it in. An on-device depth model estimates the relief — nothing leaves your Mac. • Shape it: gamma, smoothing, detail and large-structure compression bring figures forward and flatten the background. • Face-aware skin smoothing softens pores and wrinkles on detected faces while keeping eyes, nose and mouth crisp. • Fix rough spots locally with the smoothing brush. • Check the result live in 2D and in real-time 3D. EXPORT • 16-bit grayscale PNG or TIFF (white = highest point) — RIP-safe raw values. • A JSON sidecar carries physical height (mm), base thickness, DPI and Z-layer count for your printer's RIP or slicer. BUILT FOR MAKERS UV-DTF and UV flatbed prints, laser depth engraving, CNC bas-relief, 3D-printed reliefs. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no tracking, no data collection. Everything runs locally. A fast, commercially licensed depth model is bundled, so the app works the moment you open it; additional models are optional downloads.
