Nana's Teleprompter is a slim bar that floats at the top of your screen, right under the camera. It listens, scrolls while you speak, and waits the moment you stop. Nana ran the prompter at bingo night for years, so she knows the whole trick: never get ahead of the person reading. Small window, big help. ON CAMERA • Floats above everything. The bar sits at the very top of the screen, over the menu bar and the notch, so your eyes stay next to the lens. It stays put over other apps and over full-screen ones. Move the pointer into the menu bar and your clicks go to macOS, so your menus keep working underneath. • It scrolls while you talk. The microphone listens for the sound of your voice. Text moves while you speak, and about half a second after you stop it waits for you. Cough, think, take a sip of tea. It waits. It follows the sound and not the words, so going off script never confuses it. • Two screens? Pick one. Say which monitor the prompter opens on and it opens there, this take and every one after. Unplug that monitor and it steps over to the built-in screen; plug it back in and it returns on its own. • Nobody sees your notes. One switch and the window drops out of screen shares and screen recordings. You still read it; the meeting, the webinar and the finished file don't. • Mirror for the glass. Reading through a beam-splitter rig? Flip the text and it comes out the right way round on the other side. YOUR WORDS • An editor on one key. Press E, paste what you're reading, press Done. The editor opens right over the prompter and folds away again, so there's no second window to hunt for before a take. • Word files open too. Drag a .docx, .txt or .md onto the window and the words land in the editor. • Countdown and loop. Three, two, one, and off it goes, so you can settle your face first. Turn on Loop and the script starts over at the end. HOW IT READS • Type you can actually read. Typeface, size, weight, line height, alignment and text colour, all in one place. Sitting further from the desk than usual? Make the letters bigger and the lines looser. • A backdrop you choose. Set the colour behind the text, then decide how much of your desktop shows through it. Edge fade softens the top and the bottom. • Speed, with presets. Slow, Normal and Fast, plus a slider for when you want it exact. Nudge it mid-take from the keyboard, without touching the mouse. LIVING WITH IT • Settings beside the script. The panel opens on tabs next to the prompter and the window grows to make room. • Keys you can move. Space plays and pauses, arrows change speed, E opens the editor, S the settings, R goes back to the top. Click one and press the key you'd rather use. • In the Dock, or out of the way. Nana lives in the menu bar. Turn on the Dock icon and she also shows up in the Dock and in Cmd+Tab. THE APP STORE EDITION • Ten languages, picked from your Mac and changeable any time. • The microphone is the only thing she asks for, and only so the text can follow your voice. Nothing is recorded and nothing is kept. • No sign-up, no sign-in. The app itself makes no network requests: your script stays on your Mac. FREE FOR 7 DAYS, THEN PAY ONCE The download is free and so are the first 7 days: on first launch press Start 7 days free and you get the whole app. After that the app locks until you buy the Full Version, a one-time purchase of USD 19 (the App Store shows it in your currency). No subscription, nothing to renew. One purchase covers every Mac signed in to your Apple Account; on a new Mac, press Restore purchases. Bought the app back when it was paid up front? You already own the full version and pay nothing again. Terms of Use: https://nanas.pro/legal/terms Privacy Policy: https://nanas.pro/legal/privacy Previously known as Peek Script.
