1518 does two things well: it reads the bag you just bought, and it helps you brew it better than you did last time. Everything else is in service of those two.
SCAN THE BAG
Point your phone at the label. Roaster, origin, producer, process, altitude, variety — read off and turned into a proper coffee card. No typing, no forms.
BREW IT RIGHT
Guided timers for thirteen brewers, from the V60 and Chemex to the AeroPress, Pulsar, Switch and April Hybrid. Pour by pour, target weight on screen, a nudge when it is time to pour again. Change the dose and the whole recipe rescales with it.
RECIPES IN THE GRINDER YOU OWN
Recipes are written in Comandante clicks by convention, which helps nobody who owns something else. 1518 converts them: a ZP6 owner sees 3.4, not "34 clicks".
TRAIN YOUR PALATE
The taste lab gives you four levers — grind, heat, water and time — and shows how each one pushes the cup between sour and bitter, and where the sweet spot sits between them. It is the fastest way to understand why a brew went wrong.
KNOW BEFORE YOU BREW
Every coffee gets a predicted flavour profile from its process, altitude, variety and roast. It shows what it based the guess on, and never pretends to be a measurement. Taste it yourself and disagree — every value is yours to change, and your reading always wins.
KEEP EVERY BAG
Sealed, open, finished. Days since you opened it, grams left, brews logged against it. The bags you are actually drinking sit at the top.

Two fixes.
You stay signed in. The app was sending you back to the sign-in screen on every launch, even when you were already signed in.
Your bag photos are back. They were never actually lost — they were safely stored the whole time, but after reinstalling, the app looked for them in the wrong place and never asked for the copy it had kept.
