Built for gastroparesis from day one. Log meals, symptoms, and safe foods in seconds — and walk into your GI visit with a clear PDF of your story.
GastroLog is a daily diary made for living with gastroparesis. The symptoms that matter, the right meal model, and a personal safe-foods list are built in, so there's nothing to set up. Open it, log a meal, done.
Two taps and you're done:
- Repeat a meal in two taps. You eat the same safe things, and the app respects that.
- Log symptoms with big chips and five dots. No typing.
- One tap marks a flare, and the app quiets down until it passes. Liquids, fluids, symptoms, and nothing else asked of you.
- Missed a week? Nothing nags, nothing breaks. Your diary just continues.
Your food list, your call:
- Safe, trial and trigger lists that belong to you
- Once a food has some history, GastroLog shows the count ("symptoms followed on 4 of 6 occasions") and you decide what moves where. The app never labels a food for you.
See the shape of your weeks:
- The fortnight dashboard lines up symptoms, meals, weight, sleep, energy, fluids and medications on one screen
- Weight and symptom trends with flares marked
- Sleep and energy alongside, because the whole day matters
Walk into appointments with your story ready:
- A clear PDF report: symptom summary, weight trend, meal patterns, your food observations, medications, and the questions you want to ask
- Built from your diary in seconds, shared straight from your phone
Private by design:
- Everything you log stays on your phone. No account and no ads.
- Anonymous usage counts show us which features get used, never what you logged or who you are.
- Export or delete all of your data at any time
GastroLog is a diary, not a medical device. It counts and shows what you logged; you and your care team decide what it means.
I am genuinely so happy with this app. I’ve been suffering from some odd gastrointestinal issues for the past month and got recommended to track what I eat. Started tracking with this app today and am blown away by how much thought and care has been placed into every ounce of it. I feel so cared for.
Developer Response
Thank you, this made my week. I hope the tracking helps you get to the bottom of it. If anything's missing or gets in your way, just let me know.
Bowel movements. Tap Bowel on Today and log one in a tap — the type and the colour are optional. There's a "no movement today" as well, because a day with nothing logged isn't the same as a day you didn't go, and your GI report keeps those two apart.
Procedures. Record a Botox, a dilation or a stimulator on Care along with the plan you were given, and set a reminder for the review date so it doesn't fall to memory. Your report puts the weeks before and the weeks since side by side, for the appointment where it gets decided.
The dashboard has a bowel row now, lined up with everything else on the same days.
Fixed: the back button did nothing on any tab.
The GastroLog Plus offer now appears once, at the end of setup. Close it and everything carries on — logging, history, reminders and your data export stay free.
